I just received an order of 70/30 300 gsm low nap towels that I plan on using for CQUK 3.0 wipe off. Two questions:

1- Wash them before using for wipe off? I always wash my micro fiber before I use them, don't know if this situation is different.
2- What is better for wipe off, the micro fiber or the suede. I can always find another use for the towels if suede is better.

Thanks.

.

I wash mine before using them. It removes any excess material that may leave lint.

Microfiber. You can use the suede's in the future if you need additional applicators.

Which low nap towels are you using? I just did an application of UK today and low nap towels are definitely the way to go.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

Pats, I'm going to use TRC Edgeless 300's.

I prefer suede for zero lint and ease of coating removal. I like the towel to be thin so I can control it better. Both will work, it’s just what you feel comfortable with.

I would think one would not consider the older Carpro orange Boa towels, "low nap", but that's what I once used with CQ UK, and got perfect results.

Nope, I didn't wash them beforehand, straight from the bag, no lint, no issues period.

I think the reason I chose these, was seeing Corey once make mention of using them

The CarPro towel on their website now is the 2 Face they recommend for leveling coatings. I love CarPro stuff, but at 5 bucks a pop, I'm going with TRC's at ten for $14, especially since I read somewhere that they should be ditched after using for coatings.

Perfect for coating removal. I have the same towels and washed them before using them. No linting issues.

They don’t load up as fast as the suede towels.

Thanks very much, Guz. I appreciate your input and experience. I always look forward to your responses to my questions. As well as everyone else who chimes in to help!
