First off, let me start by saying, I really like Chemical Guys Soaps. They are pretty much all excellent, with my favorites being Honeydew and Citrus Wash and Gloss. So, when I new one was coming out, I had to try it.
Mr Pink
I first mixed it in my MTM Foam Cannon at a dilution of 3oz (I think the bottle is 32 oz). While I was at it, I marked the bottle in 3oz increments as you can see. While doing this, I realized that sometimes I was using more soap than I thought. Probably around 5oz. So this time I used just over 3 oz. I'm using a pretty basic electric Karcher pressure washer, 1500 psi / 1.4gpm.
Here are some pics of what I got from this combo:
So, as for the foam cannon, I thought it was pretty good. However, I have to say I like Honeydew Snow Foam a little better. I thought the HD may have stuck to the paint a little longer.
I also mixed it in the wash bucket at the dilution CG recommends, which is "1 capful" per gallon. The cap of a 16oz CG bottle holds about 1/2 ounce. So, I went with 2.5 ounce for 5 gallons. The soap seemed to clean and rinse well enough, however, it didn't seem much (if any) different from similar CG soaps. For my money, I think I would rather use Citrus Wash and Gloss at 1 ounce per 5 gallons.
After the wash, I did a final rinse with DI water (via AquaGleam filter) and dried the vehicle with my Metro Air Force Blaster. It was sunny and about 50 degrees out. No matter what, working outside in the sun I find some water spots are inevitable on black. For whatever reason, this time they seemed even less than normal. I'm talking about very light water spots that wipe off.
I used UWW+ to spray down the panel before I touched it with mit, I also used it as a drying aid. I use this product for that over other waterless washes, due to it being so inexpensive per ounce. Also, I started a new wash method of hosing out the wash mit completely before I put it in the rinse water. Them twisting it On the grit guard. This way takes a bit longer and uses more water, but when I'm done both the rinse water and the wash water are clean with no residue in the buckets at all. I'm hoping this will help minimize any wash induced marring.
After all that, I put on a coat of Fuzion and a wipe down with Wolfgang Spritz Sealant. I dressed the tires with Poor Boys Bold and Bright with the Carrand paint brush applicator thing, which surprisingly worked better than I expected and is easier to clean than foam tire swipes. Also I applied XPel Flawless Finish on the paint protection film material. Anyone not familiar with the later product, it's designed just for PPF material and applies like a traditional sealant:
As for Mr Pink, its a great soap. However, I think I like Honeydew and Citrus Wash and Gloss better. By this time the sun was going down and I was getting ready to head out for Thanksgiving diner. Here are some final pictures:
