Just thought I'd throw this against the wall and see what sticks. Being as I've not seen anyone here say they are in the area, figured I'd ask.

I'd be open to hooking up with a fellow AG'er and spending some 'quality' time. Could be to work for a day, (or part of)... I'd do it pro bono, or just shoot the breeze for a while and swap war stories. If you're say south of I-20, and north of Macon (say Exit 190'ish) we might be able to figure out a day to make it happen. Figured it'd be fun either way.

I'm off I-75, between exits 216 ~ 224 so can go north or south, depending on time of day. Although 75 has started turning into a PARKING LOT most of the time down here lately. (They are talking about, thinking about, planning about, widening it, BUT turning the lanes into "pay as you go" lanes!) Uh excuse me... but I'm already paying for them, and we NEED at least 1 free lane in each direction, plus a pay lane.

well... I'm about I think 3 hours south lol... right off I75 at least!

Well, I'm off I-75 exit 112. I think you're about 4.5 - 5 hours away from me (figuring from Knoxville to Macon). However, I would love to go down to Albany and visit Sherwood Baptist Church (the church that made Fireproof, Facing the Giants, and Courageous). Maybe if I go down there sometime this year I could stop in and say howdy. :xyxthumbs:

Holy SMOKES! Here to Gainesville in 3 hours is CRUISING! :hotrod2:
That's freaking dangerous!
(Especially with those clowns down in Crisp, Cook, Tift and pretty much all the counties from mm 1 ~ 35 or so.)

It'd be a little closer as Macon is a good 45 minutes (after you make it to 75) from us. Hey, no problem doing a "howdy" though. Anytime you're coming through just LMK and we'll 'chew the fat'. ;)

I'm off 75 but 9 hrs away down here in Tampa wish there were some fellow members close to me also

Ahhh.... Tampa.... I used to make a trip down there to MB of Tampa several times a year doing dealer trades. I would drop by the house for dinner and the evening news, head down there, drop one, pickup the other, and be home for breakfast. :D (Providing they had FedEx'd me a key to the one down there.) If they didn't, then I'd be there at 7:00 and home for a late lunch.

Oddly enough, I miss those days. Even though I was driving an average 70,000 miles a year for 16 of the 18 years I ran the business. :dunno:

I am in Marietta from the 20W off on Ex44 Thorton or Exit Windy Hill from 75

Sounds like out towards Powder Springs? Man it's been ages since I've been up that way. Used to take photos of the Concord Rd covered bridge. Heck, I don't even know if it's still there????

You're not that far out actually. Maybe I could swing up that way one day. Usually get into town (Atl) about every 4~6 weeks for a back injection appointment. Just depends on how early I get out of there, (and of course the schedule for the rest of the day).

Come to think of it, there is a Nissan/Infiniti performance shop up in Marietta that I first found on g35driver.com. Went there once, but was embarrassed to show up in a car that wasn't putting out 750~1100hp from a 3.5 liter V6. :o

I have to say Atlanta has some HORRIBLE TRAFFIC AND DRIVERS!

I betcha' it would!

Now you're just rubbing it in! :D
Now I wonder how well that 'stroke' would work polishing "pearly whites"? Betcha' Shrek's teeth would be perfect with it.

I'll be relocating to Macon for a few weeks to a few months for work.

I've got a good friend on the north side of ATL. I won't have my detailing stuff though, and i'll be driving a rental so I won't care HA!

I'm up off of I-75 N near Barrett Parkway. Happy to catch up with folks some time.

Hmmm... Well I'm off Exit's 216~222, and Riverside Drive in Macon is like 171 so that's a good 45 miles. Although it is very easy to get to Macon going south 45 miles versus going north 45 miles which would be like Marietta at the North Loop. That drive, with ANY traffic takes 1.5 to 2 times as long. And can take 3~4 times as long on any given day.

BTW, there is a killer Bass Pro Shop in Macon! ;)

Hey, I was up that way last month. Did a Lexus 460 that was so far west in Cobb that I thought I was gonna' end up in Rome! I really didn't realize that Barrett Pky went that far out. (And I used to go to CarMax up there all the time delivering inventory cars from Stockbridge, Norcross, or one of the auctions in town.)

I'm northeast of Atlanta about an hour.

Wow, a full hour northeast. That's up there. I was in Buford Tuesday and it only took an hour twenty go get there from here. You must be way up towards Gainesville. :dunno:

I may actually be bringing my da and a small, tsa compliant kit with me. My buddy in ATL has a black modded Audi S4 that needs corrected.

maybe we can team up in Atlanta one weekend to bang it out...

Hey now that sounds like FUN! Don't wanna' get in it with the kind folks at TSA.
Lord knows I've got enough chemicals here to do anything it'll likely need. (Short of a coating that he might would choose/want, but could get that here literally overnight if needed.)

While I usually don't advertise as mobile, I do end up going out here and there from time to time. I've got 2 SUV's sitting here, so if I need to throw the shopvac, buckets, the little pressure washer / steam cleaner and a couple of fans in one I can get outta' dodge fairly quickly... that's a no brainer. :D

My normal 'kit' fits in my G. Stuff like a bin of pads, bags with the DA, extra backing plates, little odds and ends, the AG detailers bag with enough chemicals to do a vehicle, a couple of kneeling pads, and of course a nice bright single head LED light and plenty of towels. Shouldn't need the work platform on the S4. (But I can toss it in if needed when I'm going somewhere.)

My weekends (for the next couple of weeks) are booked, but after the 13th I'm good. My daughter is getting married that Saturday. ;)

Just lmk if you'd wanna' do it and we'll work on a plan.
