I was washing our 2005 Land Rover LR3 yesterday morning. I noticed a little high spot on the hood. It felt and looked like a small pine sap dot. I used my linger nail to try to scrape it off, big mistake. It was a little defect in the clear coat bi now have a small pea-sized chip in the clear coat. Can I put a drop of clear or nail polish on it to keep it from spreading permanently or temporarily, or will is it a lost cause. I know that it won't be perfect but I really don't want to have to have the hood resprayed. It is tonga green and looks incredible when polished and waxed, thanks to autogeek. Any thoughts. Thanks. Phil

i will attach a photo later, heavy drizzle here in San Diego this morning

Dr. Colorchip is 60 bucks. It will make it look better and you will have enough paint left for another 10,000 chips! I wish Dr. Colorchip sold smaller bottles for a cheaper price.
