Any way to make stretched leather (from baby seat, knee on seat cushion, etc) taut again?

I have done this with my old stretched leather dress shoes(not corrected grain), so not sure if it would work on the car.

Soak the leather with distilled water let it dry which will shrink the leather then when dry condition and protect. Never had any cracking or splitting. Maybe heavy steaming till damp and let dry for the car?

Just a thought and do not know how auto leather will react.

I take a couple of small cotton towels, fold and lay them in a large casserole dish, add water, and then microwave until almost to hot to handle. Then quickly lay the hot towels over the problem areas and let them sit for 5-15 minutes or until the towels cool off. May take a few treatments depending on how bad the wrinkles are. I use this method to "un-wrinkle" leather in common problem areas. Works really well and my clients are baffled how their seats look like new again! :-)

Some also use a heat gun and massage the hot leather by hand to remove wrinkles. I only use this method for indentations on leather from baby seats and other items left on leather for too long.

A steam iron should also prove successful....
