I ran a search and couldn't find anything pertaining to my exact question. I have a gallon of Meguiar's APC on the way and I was wondering what dilution ratios you guys are using for different scenarios. It looks like mostly 10:1 and 4:1 but I wasn't sure if people had luck with any other ratios and also full concentrate. I will be using it for pre-soaking and also cleaning for these uses:

Carpets/upholstery
Wheels (all types, including plastidipped)
Tire cleaning
Wheelwells
Front bumper covers
Rocker panels
Exhaust tips
Engines

For tires I run 50/50 or 100% apc and this goes for everything except carpet. I only use folex or encap green for carpets. I've never under stood why one would use apc on carpets really.

APC ratio for me is 20:1

For what?

I have carpet/upholstery cleaner and Folex that I typically use, I just figured I would throw the use out there just in case.

10:1 works fine for me; I also use a dedicated carpet cleaner & specific products for the interior, not APC. My Megs gallon has lasted me for 3 years already.

The AGO product page for Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner (D101) indicates:

"For light cleaning, mix 10 parts water to 1 part cleaner. For heavy duty cleaning, mix 4 parts water to 1 part cleaner."

I use APC at 10:1 for interiors and leather

I use cheap APC (LA Totally Awesome) at full-strength on wheel wells and tires

I normally use 20-1 on the Meg's and then go stronger if I need to. At 20-1 a gallon will go a long way. At that ratio it cleans really well. I do keep a small bottle of 10-1 and 4-1 for tougher stains.

All depends if it's the first time your cleaning some of these surfaces or how dirty they are.

Normal Conditions:

Carpets/upholstery (Can't say, I use carpet cleaner)
Wheels (all types, including plastidipped) (4:1)
Tire cleaning (4:1)
Wheelwells (4:1)
Front bumper covers (I'm assuming you mean painted, 10:1)
Rocker panels (10:1)
Exhaust tips (4:1, mine require polish to get 100% clean)
Engines (4:1)

For bad/really dirty conditions I double the concentration. With the exception of painted surfaces and the interior. If 10:1 isn't working, I use different meathods.

:iagree:

I dilute Alien Kleen @ 3:1 ratio and it works great. BTW its 3 parts water and 1 part Alien Kleen ;)
