Im out of my wolfgang pad cleaner and was wondering if i could use megs apc to clean them? Or is the APC bad to use on the pads? They are foam LC flat pads.

I clean my pads with dawn dish washing soap when I run out of dedicated cleaner.

I use APC and dishwashing soap. Never had an issue.

I was using OPC and Meg's APC+ for a while until I tried BF microfiber detergent. OMG, the MF detergent works so much better to dissolve compounds and polishes. What used to take 2-4 soakings with APC now takes just one soak and rinse to clean my most caked up pads. Try it!

washing up liquid will work just fine, cheap as chips too

Dawn concentrate and warm water is all i ever use, period. knead the soap well, work it thoroughly with tons of suds and rinse (soak up then squeeze) over and over like there is no tomorrow. you'll know when it's ready to go on the rack.

Now when you all are saying dawn do you litterally mean DAWN dish soap only or will any dish soap suffice?

Ive used the WG pad cleaner for a while now and my god its just a couple sprays then a rinse and the pad is clean as new. I dont anticipate the soap being as fast but if it works and can be had for less then $5 then im all for it.

I've used BF APC at 1:4 and CG AC+ at 1:10 an no issues with either. I spray liberally and let sit for about 5 minutes, then take them to the sink and rinse till water squeezes out clear.

I only use compounds and polishes that clean easily with water but when I have issues I presoak with some APC then followed by hot water.

i use actual Dawn concentrate it seems to be the cleanest rinsing stuff and the most powerful in terms of removing crap.

My method is the same as Loser's. I spray my used pads with apc and work my fingers through the pad. Then drop it into a Dawn and water bucket. At the end of the job i have all my pads in the soapy Dawn bucket. Rinse them all out thoroughly, spin them dry on my rotary and leave them on a wire rack to dry. Never, ever had a problem.
