Don't - you'll have the top layer of wax flash-drying before you can spread it properly, so you'll apply it very thickly, and have a bear of a time trying to buff off the residue; afterwards, you'll have the wax sweating on you for the next week, as the lower layers did not properly cure. Don't ask me how I know...

I agree with this.

That being said I have used it in the sun. It was the only wax I had on me one day so it had to be used. I worked section by section. Applying thinly and only letting it sit for about 30 seconds then wiping. After I was done with the whole car I went back and wiped the whole car again. It was a black car and I didn't have any issues after from the wax sweating.
