Hello everyone,

How long after washing your car is it safe to apply Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0?

I washed my car this afternoon, but ran out of time to apply the sealant the same day. My car is now in the garage and I was wondering if it is still good to apply the sealant after washing the car the day before and it has been sitting in the garage since washing.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I would just go over the car with a QD or waterless wash, and you should be good to apply it.

It should be just fine. I would just look close for any dust that might have settled on it.

:whs:

My garage pulls in dust because my furnace and hot water heater are in the garage and they need oxygen to burn, so they suck in dirty outdoor air. Lots of stinky fires this year, some of the worst winter air quality in years. I wouldn't skip the waterless wash or QD once-over if waxing the next day following a wash because I know there will be dust. But once I do, I know I'm good to go, just like Ben said.

Just like the above recommendations. I often wash our cars, dry them, and then the next day seal or LSP them after a clay with diluted ONR in a spray bottle. If clay is not needed, just a diluted ONR and then the Wolfgang DGPS. No worries.

Everyone will have there own confort level. There will always be some dust on the car the next day even if it sat in a enclosed garage. My choice is to go over the car with a California car duster. Do a wipe down with IPA. Then apply sealant.

if taking the QD route then best to choose one without carnauba in it.
