Anyone have this? I am looking for a small compact portable electric pressure washer and this fits the bill with great reviews on Amazon and Home Depot. Just curious if anyone already had or has it and how you liked it.

Its probably great, AR has a good reputation. Just make sure you CAN GET a few of the adapters if you plan on using a foam cannon or other attachment. One guy on here went through a nightmare with an AR trying to get a foam cannon to work.

If you go with a Karcher, adapters are readily available and there is a lot of experience here with the set-up if you can't figure it out.

Dear Meticulous

I believe the hand-carry model is an older one and has the gun/wand that's difficult/impossible to adapt to the foam cannon. One thing is for sure, though, and that is you can get another gun that will work with existing adapters.

AR is updating its guns. For instance, the venerable 383 that was (and is) such a good bargain but gave us fits when we wanted to use a foam cannon has been replaced by the 390, which works with an existing adapter.

AR is reputable. I don't have any of their products, but they design and manufacture a ton of pumps.

I don't have a foam cannon, only a Gilmore Foam Master II foam gun. I was going to fill the existing detergent tank it comes with car soap and use it that way.

Dear Meticulous Detail

Then the 118 is just great. I just read that it comes with a triplex pump. That's surprising. Almost all of the less-expensive washers have axial cam pumps. It's normally the more expensive washers that have triplex pumps.

I don't know the difference between a triplex and an axial cam pump, though.

I bet the 118 is a good washer. It gets good reviews at Pressure Washers Direct.

Again, not familiar with this model, but if the soap tank is like my Karcher its useless. The soap only works with very low pressure, basically, you have to turn it down to < psi than a hose.

I want the AR 118 looking into it soon Perfect for my detailing business and it's small n compact and AR is very good product however. Ik there is a small issue with the foam cannon hookup to it which I wanna do but think ima upgrade all hoses fittings and mayb wand if I can find all correct parts for it and make a super sweet AR set up .. Thinking of which may go shopping this week for it

Attachments for the AR's are a pain. There is a video floating of how to purchase the extra attachments.

Got my AR118 direct from AR!! With the AR Foam Cannon.

AR118 with AR Foam Cannon - YouTube

That was the second time using it. The vid was using crap iPhone...but you get the idea. Also that was using cold water not warm/hot water. It foams much much MUCH better with the warmer water. Also Chemical Guys soaps are excellent!!
