I've been reading about DG 501/105 combo and was wondering if all AIO cleaners are similar such as DG501,Klasse AIO,Optimum Poli-seal etc.I understand keeping/topping with like products but are there any real differences?
Since these are all cleaners with some protection that are usually topped does this eliminate the use of something like Pinnacles paint works cleansing lotion to ready for an LSP.

As always thanks for the replies.

Technically, AIO's have some polish/glazing/protective abilities to them. I've read some ppl get 4 months out of KAIO on it's own but I wouldn't leave it untopped.

To me, AIO's are like shampoos with conditioner built into them. Saves some time but not as good as a dedicated shampoo and dedicated conditioner. You can get good results with them but you have to know what they are capable of along with their limitations.

Products like Pinnacle cleansing lotion and WGPPE are dedicated cleaners that remove old layers of waxes and sealants to provide the best foundation for a new lsp.

One of the questions I see here a lot is do I need to use a cleansing lotion after polishing and before waxing. If polishing a car, you don't really need to use a paint cleanser before your lsp as the abrasives in the polishes will remove any contaminants in the paint that washing and claying may have missed. Keep in mind that while application of a paint cleaner is not required after polishing, people do wipe down their panels to remove any polishing oils that may be masking remaining defects. They do this using IPA, mineral spirits, a pre-wax cleaner, or simply washing the car again.

I seem to have gone off on a tangent but hopefully the answer to your questions are in there somewhere.

AIO's = All-in-One , most are more than just a cleaner product, but can offer polishing ability and protection also.

Chemical Cleaners -- most often a specialty product to clean paint and prep for wax and sealants.
