Are my American Racing alum.rims clear coated?

In an attempt to polish my rims with Meguiar`s Brilliant solutions wheel polishing kit it looks like I am seeing raw alum.and a coated alum., so I stopped.Thanks Mike.

Do you have a Pic? More than likely with AR they will be uncoated.

I have Torq Thrust II's and they came uncoated, most polished aluminum from American Racing comes uncoated.

If they are similar to these A.R.E.'s, they may be anondize, or painted/cleared.

If they are not clear coated, you will see black on your polishing cloth almost immediately when just starting polishing. If they are clear coated, your cloth will not turn black. A polishing cloth only turns black when polishing bare metal, unless of course you are polishing something that is black.
