ARG!!!! CAT Scratches!!!!!

My cars sit outside and are daily drivers. Getting rid of the cats is not an option.

here is a typical scratch on the front bumper

I am currently using Chemical Guys V38, what is the next step in aggressivness to minimize the visual effect?

I too am not a big fan of cats, even though I have resources to get rid of them.

Yes you are going to need something more aggressive than a finishing polish to address anything I can see clearly in the last photo. With that said, know your paint thickness it limits etc before you get really carried away.

How certain are you that they were cats btw?
 
They (the cats) love to lounge the day away on the roof of the car. With the paint being so slick they slip and scratch the paint. I need to finish my shop so the ABARTH has secure cat free parking

At first i was like what is ARG??!!

Try M205 first..why m105 if thats very aggressive? V38 is a very very very light polish.
 
I don't run Chem guys polishes so I have no idea. M105 is only as aggressive as the pad it's used with. Put some on a red pad and then try it on a yellow. Big difference.

Its always a great idea to start lite but I'm not even sure 105 will fix that one.
 
I was running out of parking space and had to park my GTi at the neighbours in an open yard. I had WGDGPS 3.0 on the paint which is very slick. Same problem, cat would slip and claw at paint to gain traction. I was upset and always go the least aggressive step first by hand if that doesn't work pull out the DA. Pulled out Meguiars A1216 Cleaner Wax, Menzerna SF4000 and Ultimate Compound. The Cleaner Wax reduced the clawing significantly and cleaned out the scratches, but was still slightly visible to the naked eye at an angle. Used SF4000 with a microfiber hand pad and it did the trick, no need for compound or DA. Sealed the spot with Collinite 915.
 
If there is no chance of rain put a mothball on the roof on a plastic water bottle cap and the cats should be repelled.
 
since it's fairly inexpensive and you're looking for a solution while your garage is being built. why not get a few cans of clear plasti dip. it will protect the paint once fixed and when you get your shop you can easily peel it off revealing a nice pristine finish.
