Considering switching from the product I am currently using for prewashes. The three above seem to be the contenders. Any comments on any of these or is there another product I should consider? Don't intend to contact wash with it as I have a few ph neutral soaps for that. At present I'm leaning towards the Armour as it is sold at numerous places and it is made in the USA which is a strong consideration for me.

I'd go for the Labrocometica...er...Labocosmetica. I haven't used any of the 3, but there are plenty of members who swear by Primus, including Opie, wherever he got to. Another one to think about is the Optimum Decon, which is pH neutral, but supposed to punch above its pH.

My main recommendation, which I'm sure will be seconded by many members, is not to listen to me.

First off. Don't listen to anyone who has their head in the stars.

2nd, just get whatever is the cheapest in bulk. I havent used ADS but I have used Primus and BH and honestly, it doesn't matter. They're all 3 gonna be good pre washes.

I like Touch-less when dealing with ultra dirty cars. But you really need to be accurate with your dilution (panel impact ratio), and never ever let it dry on the car, especially black plastic or rubber trims. A great product, but it can be a little aggressive if not used properly.

Not mentioned in your opening post, but I'd also look at Koch Chemie Active Foam. I really like this because of the lower pH value and overall less aggressive................without compromising its touch-free ability. It's also relatively concentrated when mixed as directed, foams well, car be used with or without contact, and the sandalwood fragrance is one of the best out there.

I've been reading when I can as I've recently started the whole -touchless- cleaning again ( literally touchless ) - not as a prewash.
I do see how It does minimize the panel debris before a contact wash
It basically makes the panels look about 70% better...if just using it as complete touchless wash

I will do its 1st mechanical wash when it's not useless to just wash the car and the road melt just makes it just as dirty on the next drive.
I'd rather -rub dirt- when it's worth the wash per se.

In doing as such, I've wonder between the different brands and such.....depending on the surface, is one brand:chemisty:product better for mud vs. let's say salt. When it comes to TFR, I presume all the brands: chemistry do aim to address that

ADS is having a 20% off sale for President's day that you can take advantage of.

Well at least for now I ended up with a liter of Primus. I suspect all three are good products but it came down to the following.
The Bilt Hamber is only available at a couple places which is inconvenient.
I was able to get a liter of Primus for slightly less $$ than a 16 oz of the Armour Decon and they have very similar dilution ratios.
I did a little research on the Primus before buying it and it seems like a great product.

You didnt go wrong there. All of Labo's products are good that I have used. I did a quarterly 3ph wash using their system on my F250 and was happy with it. Then mailed Klasse what I had left of semper for him to try. He was pleased with it.

To be honest, I think we are almost to the point of 'splitting hairs' in the detail world to where everything is getting pretty close to one another and if a company doesn't make something that will be at least on par with everyone else, they won't last long.

Ive stopped chasing the fake rabbit in the race. LoL

I think we've always split hairs on these forums, but you are surely right that most products are so good today that it's hard to go wrong.

I guess you heard me. Nice to see you on the forum again.

Primus 2.0 is great. Very versatile.

Currently using BH TL and am very impressed with it.
