as2 glass

Hi guys. i was just curios on how much protection AS2 glass offers. this glass is factory but the front windscreen is AS1. is As2 a tint? i dont really understand this much. thanks all for the answers.

"AS1 is the clearest glass (at least 70% light transmission), is laminated, and can be used anywhere in a motor vehicle (typically just the windshield), AS2 is tempered with at least 70% light transmissions, and can be used anywhere except the windshield, and AS3 can be used in certain locations in certain vehicles"

yea ive seen that but didnt make too much sense to me? does that mean as2 stops 70% of light?

It sounds like it lets at least 70% light pass/thru, not stop. No?

It clearly says 70% light transmission so it allows 70% of light through. Blocks 30%
