Auto Finesse Satin Tyre Gel

Description

The look show-goers demand

Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel imparts a low-gloss, satin finish on your vehicle’s tires. If you’re not a fan of the ridiculously high-gloss, greasy-looking finish that is created by most other tire dressings, Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel is for you! This thick, easy-to-apply tire gel dries to the touch and will not sling off. Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel conditions and protects your tires with UV inhibitors, working to keep them looking new.

Very few things in car care and detailing are as frustrating as a tire dressing that slings off, landing all over your freshly-waxed paint. Say goodbye to tire sling and say hello to Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel!

Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel is one of the most flexible tire dressings available. This thick gel can be layered to provide a variety of different finishes; 1 coat provides a natural, matte finish; 2 coats provides a low-gloss, satin sheen; 3 coats provides an extremely high gloss. What more could you ask for in a tire gel?

Auto Finesse Satin Tire Gel lasts weeks, not days. The thick gel formula clings to the tires and will not wash off in the rain. Satin Tire Gel protects your tires with advanced UV inhibitors, preventing them from fading or turning brown over time.

Price $13.99 for 500ml

Applying
1.Shake well
2. Make sure tyre is dry and clean!
3. Use applicator pad to apply directly to the tire. (I dont like using the regular yellow applicator pads on tires. They are just too soft. I find you get better results with a harder foam.)
4. Allow the product to cure for about 30min.
5. Reapply another coat depending on the level of gloss you want

My Thoughts

This tyre gel had me interested from the beginning because of it's layerable style of use. The product was very easy to apply. The gel was not too sticky and actually smells really good! (i dont know why that matters to some people but ill include it anyway)

Instead of trying to explain what happened with each coat ill just let the pictures speak for themselves.

In conclusion

I think the layering capability is very cool! It really gives you the ability to choose the level of gloss that you like to have on your tyres. I like to have a satin finish with a little bit of gloss so two coats would be my choice. I am happy to have this product in my arsenal for sure. The real question here is durability the company claims it will last for weeks. I will update this thread on how the product is holding up.

Enjoy!

Great review!

If I didnt have enough Megs endurance tire gel to drown an elephant, I'd def by this!

I've been using satin for months now. Two coats for me does the job and looks great. Durability is decent I think. My car is garaged and only driven weekends so I might not be a good judge. Overall though I'm glad I have this product and yes it does smell really nice! Layer abilities are what makes it a winner

Okay the shine is completely gone now. It looks like I have put one coat on the tires. It has been 10 days. Im not impressed by the durability or turned off by it.

Has it rained?

Or...... it just fades?

How thick would you say from 1-10, 10 being thickest, is it compared to lets say Opti-Bond or BF Tire Gel. I rate Opti-Bond around 5 and BF Tire Gel around 4

It is pretty thick. It is not runny like some gels. Like you can turn the pad upside down and not worry about losing any product. It did rain but only 1 time. Im thinking it just fades though. I still like it but I just need more time using it to get a fully formed opinion. I am not wowed by this product but it may be useable if you know what I mean.

Their products are very good been using them for sometime now :)

It fades away from what I've seen in my multiple uses. Funny though because no matter how long it stays on there or how much it's faded, the next wash time around it beads like crazy on the tires

Great review! Thanks for taking the time zapa

Thanks for you review on this product. Did you only use Iron-X to clean your tire?

The rims I used IronX and I also have a bucket with CG glossworks with a variety of brushes. So I used a stiff brush tho clean the tire itself.

From my experience that wouldn't be enough to properly clean tires to prep them for dressing.

+1 you'll need a dedicated tire cleaner or strong apc if you want to properly clean the tires. I use tuff and it works great but want to try out d101 due to price

I have to agree. The tire did not look perfectly clean before he applied the dressing. The tire wasn't black enough to be completely clean.

Actually, there wasn't any dirt on the tire, but it wasn't black because the rubber was oxidized. To remove the oxidized rubber requires a stronger cleaner.

On the other hand, perhaps it is better for the tire long term to simply apply the dressing to make it black, like the Meguiar's #7 method for rejuvenating single stage paint vs polishing off the oxidation?

By the way, is it possible that instead of simply fading, some of the dressing is actually being absorbed into the tire?

It's definitely a valid theory because like I've mentioned before I've been using satin for months and never got proper durability out of it. The last time I applied it I felt that I cleaned the tires pretty well and even waited overnight to apply the second coat and then still waited another day before it saw the roads. The shine barely lasted and that's with my car being garaged and driven 2-3 times a week. However having said all that everytime I have gone back to wash the car, the tires have ridiculous beads leading me to the conclusion that satin has amazing protection capabilities for your tires. Now if the shine lasted longer it would be an amazing tire shine.
