AutoFiber Mitt on a Stick

I understand how all are washing with a mitt on a stick type tool but how are you drying those areas?

I was initially apprehensive about using said tool......as I presume some level of micro marring may be induced.
My roofs have full PPF.....but regardless, I got over the -hump of concern-as I won't ever see said micro-marring.

XL PFM makes quick work on drying the roof. I'll get the 3 edges (sides and back). For the middle, I'm just throwing the towel up and over.....till I do the running span of the roof - about 4 towel throws cover it, then eyeball it ....if I see any remaining water drops, I'll do another final pass. The Xl being so dang huge, has plenty or reach and coverage once you give it a good *flip* over the rails

I religiously use the under-carriage wand whenever I'm washing the car in the winter (weather permitting) . Between March-December, I might use the under carriage wand like maybe twice....pretty much is dormant aside from winter. Granted I'm not using any sort of salt neutralizers or the like....so it's probably more placebo than anything since IME, even was massive water rinsing, there is always a film of salt that will stay on the surface....

I use a similar one once in while when I want to do a bit more then a rinseless but don't want to hand wash it, as it works super fast. I do have a bigger bucket and grit guard inside I rub it on to make me think I'm doing something right I took a sponge and slit it in half length wise so its about 3/4" thick and put it under the pad before tying it on, to soak up more soap and protect the edges a lil bit more. Works great and holds more soap/water but makes it harder to clean up after without it sudsing up like mad as I clean it out, lol

I should buy a Tornador just to see if it make me flip my perception of it....I would like to think suck is superior to blow but the guys that have a Tornador do seem to think its the cats paw and maybe I might just say why did I get not get this earlier. I've always looked at it saying vac and containing debris dust makes more sense they just agitating all that airborne

Im thinking the best use for a tornador is a vehicle that is significantly more dirty than my vehicles get. In addition they just relocate debris and dont illiminate it. Not necessarily needed as are a few other common detailing items. I could name several and make solid cases for why they are not needed.

It does look clumsy.......if I'm looking at the pic, on the rear of the nozzle gun head + the span of the hose attachment, that looks to be about a 8-10 inch wide tool right there.....I can it working on a pure flat surface but for interior use where one is already managing a suction hose .......def. not even worth a consideration

It may be that some members were doing the dual thing "by themselves". I think Eldo said something about it but he hasn't been on too much lately.
