was looking to purchase a couple of Autogeek cover up towels to protect the finish on my ride. noticed they are out of stock. is this item discontinued ? was hoping to pick one or two up.

Never heard of them. What are they/size/color/price???

they are 29.5 x 66 in size and used to cover windshield or paint when polishing ,wetsanding etc..... mostly used for splatter control and keeping non desirable stuff off your ride while you are working on it. really could use one or two for my next project, even a used one if they are discontinued, which is looks like they might be.

I always used a beach towel or my old Charisma towels for splatter.

Thanks.

the one I am looking at should be be a little softer for use on paint, which it perfect especially for the paint that mars easy.

I'd call customer service to see if they will ever again become available. Sometimes if a product isn't a big seller, it quietly goes away.

In the meantime...this used to be the "best practice":

Sounds like a good idea to call Bob. I did have the beach towel link saved and had it for a backup like the good old days. was hoping to not need going back to a beach towel. guess the Autogeek cover up towel may not have been a good seller. from the looks of it I have not seen a replacement. was hoping maybe there were a couple floating around or maybe a member has an extra one or one that they are not using .

A couple of alternatives/suggestions:
Places like "Bed&Bath" stores, and many online microfiber retailers, have over-sized microfiber bath towels.

Bob, thanks for the suggestions. will see if any of the towels I am looking for turn up. I would prefer to actually hold the towels in my hand if they are not from Autogeek, guess they have me spoiled on soft towels :dblthumb2: appreciate you taking the time to give me some alternate suggestions. also appreciate jmsc for taking time to help me out. I do have bath towels that are microfiber but they do not seem as soft and scratch resistant as the ones we get here on Autogeek.
