Autogeek, i spoke with someone over the phone about price match on a Mytee lite 8070 and was told you guys couldnt price match that.
I would rather give you guys my money then some other company.

But the difference in price is a little over $200. Please let me know if you guys can make this happen. I also have the link to the other company online and could send it to you guys for verification.

If it is a discount site, or one of the huge mega websites they usually do not price match. Take Amazon for instance. if AG price matched some of their deals they would go out of business.

Just shoot the Customer Service folks a message or give them a call...they don't bite, honest!! :props:

All they can do is say no, we can't match that, but it's worth a try..

It's a cleaning supply website. Yeah i called already and they said they couldnt price match. So i thought i'd give this a try. It doesnt matter really where i get it from. I would personally rather give autogeek my money to stay loyal. But there's a $200+ differenece that is stearing me towards the other site. On the bright side i have $200 more dollars to spend on autogeek. :)

that's the spirit

save money but not really :)

you must have gone to the same school of economics as my wife...

We're all about providing you with the best deal possible, but as noted on our price match policy, some items such as carpet extractors are excluded. We do, however, guarantee the best customer service and shopping experience on the net. We are an authorized online retailer for every item found on our website, from a jar of wax all the way to a carpet extractor, so when you purchase from us, you can rest assured you have somewhere to turn if you have any questions or concerns about the product.

Our phones are on until 6 pm eastern time tonight so if you would like to order a carpet extractor, give me a call and I'll extend the 10% Off No Restrictions Sale that you just missed by two days. :dblthumb2:

This offer is good for today only! :righton:

OP, you called AG and they said they could not price match so you decided to come onto the forum and ask them again, stating that they already told you they could not match the price you were given?

I am sorry, but I am missing your angle here...

Thanks Nick!

Tundra, sometime i like to ask twice. Sometimes someone else can make things happen that someone else couldn't. For example, recently i called my cell phone provider and ask for an early upgrade and was told i couldn't. Called back an hour later and BAMB got the early upgrade. I figured what am i going to lose or hurt by mentioning in the forum.

Tundra there's no harm in calling mate. If they say no, they say no. I'm not sure about your laws over there but here in Australia I'm pretty sure there's legislation stating that regardless of whether a company advertises the fact it will price match, they do not have to price match if that would force them to sell below their cost price.
Anyway, as you said. Buy it cheaper and use the savings here at AG anyway :)

Nice offer from Nick. The sale only ended two days before he wrote that. That's customer service.

Amazing offer...:iagree::iagree:

However, in my experience, people who always "scratch and claw" for every extra discount and extra saving aren't loyal customers....their only loyalty is a lower price and in almost every case they will leave you for price.

Amen to that!

I agree with you.

I dont penny pinch or "scratch and claw" on everything. But if the difference is $200+ then I'm definitely going to go with the competitor. Sorry if that doesnt mean im loyal, but $200 is a lot of money to me. I must also say that i have never price match anything with AG, ive always paid what was asked for their products. This is the first time ive asked.

Not for nothing but this is also business. Auto geek is here for the customer and they are great but it is the customer who keeps a company alive. Shopping is shopping this isn't a close friend who's feelings could be hurt. Do the price match get what ever you can off of it and any good sales person will tell you always Bargain

gain

I understand both sides. AG has to turn a profit, but I want the best deal possible. My wife said she would get me a polisher for Christmas and i was set to order from AG, but then Amazon put the GG 6" polisher on gold box for $80. I bought the polisher from Amazon and accessories from AG. Win-Win IMHO

New Image don't apologise. You don't need to justify yourself, it's your money. As you said, $200 is a lot of money (for me too by the way). Me personally? If a store I like and has given me good service over the years was only 5-10% more expensive then I'd stick with 'my store' for loyalty sake. When we're talking such an enormous difference though it's not about loyalty.
The comments about "scratch and claw" are largely irrelevant here (although that too is subjective) as you weren't talking about going somewhere else for the sake of $10, we're talking $200. I WISH I was in a position where I could afford not to care about $2000, sadly I'm a lowly government employee so I need to watch my spending.
I also don't understand using phrases like "leave you" for another store. Sorry, did you exchange rings with AG? If you're in serious relationship it's a different story. You should really man up and tell them in person that you're buying from someone different. Don't do it in email or text message, that's for cowards.

different.

The only thing that caught my interest was the above. Your lowly government employement gives you a lifetime job, lets you retire after 30 years employment, gives you 2%+ raises, lifetime health care benifits and a 2.5X+ retirement pension (as compared to social security which i get at age 65)

so lets trade..my social security for your government pension....deal?

BTW, my 52 year old neighbor just retired from his lowly government job with not a care or worry in the world.....anyone else disturbed by this?

sorry for my rant

Bacon, not trying to stir the pot as I am afraid this thread is going a little south but he addressed me as "mate" with his first comment, he might not be from the US so he might have a little different retirement plan as us. Not knocking you for your comment, just saying they might be a little different if he is from out of the country.

Whoops, my bad, I did the wrong thing in assuming he was a USA GOVERNMENT employee. Your point is well taken. I need to be more "vetting" before i comment.

Tundra, thanks for calling me out...much appreciated
