hey guys

one question?i want your opinions in autoglym high definition wax.i wax my car 2 times now and the wax last up to 6 months in beading .i must say that the shine is not too much but i like it

thank you

I tried it, and I'm not a big fan of it, as you said, the shine is not big deal, and I didn't keep it on to be able to tell how long it would last, also, compared to other waxes, it is somewhat of a pain to remove.

I ended up going back to P21 100%, and have 2 more waxes to try in spring.

I have the same issue with a white car, and I personally like Pinnacles Souvran.

any suggestions guys ?i want a wax for a decent shine and long lasting protection .i dont wan to apply a layer every month.

Well, if you said that you are getting 6 months out of AGHD, I would say that is very good.

Also, when I said I was not too crazy about the way it looked on my Jeep, I was talking about right after it was applied, was that your case, or you talking about the way it looks after the 6 months?

If you want another option, that would last, maybe you can TRY THIS ONE. But personally, I can't go months without applying wax to my cars...

Yeah, that is way I always wax at the very least once a month ( weather permit ), So that is way I don't care all that much about how much they last.

If carnauba wax like AGHD isnt giving you the look on white you're after, maybe one of these sealant/hybrid based waxs or even a pure sealant if you desire. Collinite 845 is very durable and might give you the look you're after as well. Finish Care 1000p has reportedly very long durability and I've heard the looks reported as "adding another layer of clearcoat to your car."

If you don't mind a multi-step process you should try the following:

Wash & clay your vehicle
Apply Duragloss #601 Polish Bonding Agent and allow to haze, do not remove
Apply Duragloss #501 Marine Polish to clean the paint, allow haze and wipe off
Apply Duragloss #601 Polish Bonding Agent and allow to haze, do not remove
Apply Duragloss #105 Total Performance Polish, allow to haze, then remove
Do a final wipe down with Duragloss #951 Aqua Wax

You can condense the 601/501 and 601/105 steps into 2 by simply mixing 1 part 601 : 4 parts 501. Perform the same mix ratio of 1:4 with 601 and 105. If you don't have to worry much about humidity, try Duragloss #111 Clear Coat Polish in place of DG #105. The Polish Bonding Agent will flash cure your polish, so no waiting 12 hours between coats. You can begin the next step immediately. Condensed steps will be:

Wash & clay
DG 601/501 @ 1:4 mix ratio, allow haze, remove
DG 601/105 @ 1:4 mix ratio or DG 601/111 @ 1:4 mix ratio, allow haze, remove
Final wipe with DG 951 Aqua Wax

If you have any further questions, please ask.

Thanks,
Richard

How long does this last?

How long does this last?

The combo easily lasts an entire season and more. This was my goto combo on customers cars last winter. DG also has an advantage over a lot of other LSP's in that it doesnt lose its look over a certain period of time. It keeps on looking good until the end.

Ok thanks. Can I order this stuff from NAPA? My dad won't let me use his CC so I can't order from Autogeek where I'd prefer to order from because I get great customer service here.

NAPA should have most of the stuff on the shelves, but if they dont then you should be able to order it through them.
