Is Autopia still down? Seems like it may go away soon.

I’m betting it will. Sad times for forums.

I use to really like that forum, and spent most of my time there and a little here-because most of the folks on there I really liked Then there was one crybaby who went crying to the moderator over there about something I said so he contacted me and asked me to not be "so blunt", guess I hurt the crybaby's feelings. So I made a post calling out the crybaby and the mod got pissed @ me 'cause I called him out by name, so when I saw that the Mod was basically a gutless wonder with no spine I moved full time over here. Sadly-- the crybaby is posting over here now, but I dont ever see any of his posts 'cause I have him on my ignore list along with a hand full of others-- what a great feature!!

But yeah- sad to see Autopia go down hill.

Social media sucks compared to traditional forums.

If it is going away, that would be a shame. I liked it there because you could talk about any brand you wanted to, and have links to it....not the same here.

I'm pretty sure you could "link away" here on AGO now.

With all due respect to Meghan, (who had the class to update the AGO situation last week) the Mods on here just don't seem to give a rat's ass anymore.

Not being disrespectful or snarky, but just calling it like I see it.............

You could almost make Autopia a sub-forum on AGO and just allow non-AGO product discussion there.

If autopia is going extinct I really do hope the regulars over there make their way over here.

I nominate you " MisterSnoop " as full time super moderator for the new sub forum--- Great Idea!!!!

I found that "most " of those folks were more laid back / cool-- not that there aren't "cool" folks on here, it just seemed most everybody seemed like brothers in a way-- a brotherhood, not so much here, but some

I would hate to see Autopia close up and die. Just the amount of info on posts researching products would be awful to lose. Yes I know as time goes forward products become older, but even searching info on a product in google has links to Autopia, and here. When I really jumped in deeper to the hobby and wanted to know about some products, I gained so so much info from there. It would be terrible to toss such a resource.

And I agree with comments about social media. Have never had a fb, insta, etc account. And I don't plan to. Zero interest. I find forums one of the best platforms for info and just chumming with folks.

That was one of the reasons I started participating over there and the total freedom to talk about any product from anywhere was the other big benefit. The conversations I've had over there are different based on the personalities and the experience level of some of the "grey beards" on that forum.

I just got on. But had to clear my browser info first.

You are referring to Autopia.org correct?
