Hi All,

So I received my NanoSkin Medium Grade Wash Mitt a little while ago, and was wondering if this normal. The pictures I've seen show vertical parallel lines on the mitt, however this mitt looks nothing like that. Looks like the rubber/material was melted or something. I was planning on using the mitt on my 2010 RRS this weekend but I don't want to use it if it's defective and should be exchanged. This is the first time I've purchased/trying this product so wanted to make sure the mitt is fine before actually using it.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum section, please feel free to move it (wasn't sure where to post, so this section seemed the most relevant)

That looks like what happens if you put that side down onto something and it sticks to it and is difficult to remove. Ive accidently damaged mine before and that is what it looked like. I would return it.

Looks like it was manufactured right before the lunch bell went off...

That's definitely not normal. Send me a PM with your order number and I'll get it swapped out ASAP.

I have both the medium and fine grade and they have a definite symmetrical pattern to them. I would suggest you contact customer service.

Thanks for the prompt replies! Exchange it is!

@Nick@Autogeek:

Thanks, but I actually ordered this off Amazon since the shipping was free :-) I'll have to exchange it through them

I'm glad you were able to find an answer on our discussion forum. Good luck! :dblthumb2:

Thanks! I do have some products incoming from autogeek (blackfire gloss enhancing Polish, and chemical guy leather serum). Looking forward to receiving those on Friday!

Also, exchange is underway for the wash mitt. Getting a fine grade one instead of medium grade.

Try to work things out with Amazon. I had a defective Autoscrub pad which Nanoskin NEVER got back to me on replacing--their words--"a defective pad from our bunch".

They have the crappiest customers service and because of it I am never buying any of their products again.

Yep, I sent it back to Amazon and placed an order for a fine grade wash mitt. Hopefully that one turns out to be fine.

On another note, I'm not sure why the pictures in my first post aren't showing up. They aren't in my imgur account either (which I used to upload the pics to). Can't repost either because I ended up deleting the pictures off my phone after they were uploaded to imgur (and obviously can't take anymore pictures since I already sent the mitt back!) Weird!

How does this one look? It looks better than the first but still has some irregular patterns. Is this what a normal wash mitt looks like?

Thanks for the confirmation! Glad I can stick with this one :-) would have ruined my detailing plans for the weekend if I had to return it!

That is normal and it works awesome!! I would not worry about it. Keep on truckin with the detailin!! BTW, this is the only way I will clay. Saves so much time!!

Thanks! Yeah I've used a clay bar before and never really liked it, so when I saw this product I had to give it a try! This is the process that I'm considering using:

1. Wash and clean wheels with Sonax
2. Wash with Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II Super Suds (using a foam blaster)
3. Iron X
4. Re-foam with Maxi Suds while Iron X is still on the vehicle and wash again with a wash mitt (This step taken directly from a post by Mike Phillips)
5. Rinse the vehicle
6. Apply another layer of Suds to the vehicle, and rub the vehicle out with Nanoskin Fine Grade Wash Mitt
7. Rinse
8. Dry
9. Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (applied by hand. Don't have a polisher at the moment)
10. Blackfire Crystal Coat Paint Prep
11. One coat of Blackfire Crystal Coat Paint Coating

Do these steps look good? Anything I should change/add/remove?
