Aztec Hot Rod Extractor

I’ve had mine for almost 3 years, and overall I’m very happy with it. Only thing I had to replace was the water pump after 2-1/2 years of service which was expected with heavy use.

Pros:
Compact (Great for Mobile Services)
Light Weight w/o Water
Good Water Extraction
Dependable
Good Hose Length
Heats Water fairly fast (little faster would be nice)
Very Good Customer Service – Very quick to respond to my email questions. (Except, see Cons)

Cons:
It would be nice if their Crevice Tool had an EZ quick connection. Maybe they have that now, haven’t checked lately.

(Customer Service) When ordering replacement parts from the mfr. they want you to fill out a credit application even if you are paying by check or credit card. I could understand if I was applying for a line of credit. They said it’s their new policy, which is fine; it’s their company but a hassle for me when only purchasing 50 buck worth of parts. I just wanted to do a simple online purchase. I found a company that is one of their authorized dealers and was able to do a simple online purchase.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! Your input is very much appreciated!

I have had mine for over 5 yrs and no problems . Works like a champ love it along side my VX5000.

Well 5 years is a good stretch. This is exactly what I wanted to hear! :-)

Knock on wood nope . No parts just clean it out after every use . I only run water thru it . Its a good reliable portable unit.

The carry handle looks a bit awkward in the pictures. It also looks like it could just break off the top of the unit. Is the design solid?

If your mobile and need a compact extractor, then yes, it's great. Long hose, doesn't take too long to heat. Although for the size, it is pretty loud.

I would def save and go with the HP60. Although the Aztec is good for its compact size, HP60 is far superior in many ways.. and I have the Aztec

The handle is solid no worries there.

I have had mine since about April 2011 and the only thing I have had to do to mine is reseal the water tank cap, mostly because I removed it to clean some debris out of the tank. Very durable/reliable machine. Mine has been banged around in the bed of my truck and I accidentally drop it onto the water line connection when emptying the tank. Would be nice to have a lift off tank to make it easier to empty, but then it would be as compact and durable. Keeps me in shape having to lift to whole thing to empty it anyway.lol One thing I would like to get for mine is a crevice tool, but I'm too cheap to buy it. Plus with a steamer and vacuum I manage without. Go for it!:D

Is the Aztec Hot Rod 15% off right now?

Looks like it is on sale but you will still have to pay shipping.

This item (Aztec Hot Rod) is oversized. A shipping rate of $50 applies

$775 (plus $40 shipping) after the 15% off?

Would be $708.75 after the 15% off and with shipping. Not bad, but I just checked my wholesale price list with another site and can get it for $665-shipped.

I think he included the $40 for shipping in his price.

Yes sir, the price included the $50 oversized shipping charge.
If only I could get AG to waive the $50 shipping charge, I'd much rather purchase the extractor from here! :-(
I wish AG kept track of each of our spending and sent us personalized discount offers since they don't do wholesale accounts!

How did you get that discount? I'm showing that unit listed (other place) @ 774.99 (free shipping)

Is there a membership fee, how much if so?
