Tried to post photo from phone, file too large 🤨

Acura MDX has the nice gloss black panels on the B pillar and C pillar. They are in great condition but there are some minor love marks starting to show. I understand they are so soft that a fly turd would scratch them.

What do ya'll recommend for a correction polish on them?

Thank you in advance.

I’ve used HD Speed with good results but that was ford trim. I’m suspecting it’s the same. Give it a go with something mild, bet it turns out just fine.

Glad my phones are not the only ones that can't post pics.
I was starting to take it personal

You've got to resize the pictures for this forum. I don't use Tapatalk, I don't know if that resizes the pictures.

I'm on an unrelated forum where the software automatically does it, which makes it super-easy to post pictures, but that software doesn't handle multi-quotes well., so they all have their pros and cons, I guess. Now back to your regularly scheduled pillar-polishing thread.

I'm technology challenged. Don't even know what tapatalk is. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you. I've got some Essense ordered so that should be mild enough.

Essence is good because it can mask light imperfections, which are often re-inflicted by the towel when wiping off the polish residue, even with the softest towel. I had this issue with the gloss-black plastic hood vent on my Mustang. I tried a few pad and polish combinations, but the towel was re-installing the marring. In the end I went with Essence on the softest pad I have and the lightest pressure possible, even then it wasn't perfect. Not all gloss-black trim will react like this, so I say above to warn you rather than discourage, and that sometimes you need to know when to stop.

On our MDX, I use the same polish/pad I use on the paint; typically Griots BOSS Perfecting Cream and a Rupes yellow pad. However, I only make one or two passes of the area and it clears up any marks since the surface is so soft. Like DFB alluded, be very careful when removing the polish residue since that surface will mar really easily.

I’ve never seen you post a picture.. In my mind I picture you as a dude who drives a 1985 Ford Tempo and has a Motorola Razr flip phone. Lol.

I've posted tons of pictures, and I got rid of my Motorola flip phone in....2017, I think.

PS I think the latest pictures I posted have been in the beading thread.

I picture him driving a van (with no windows) with small antennas on the roof

Back to the pillars

Polish something else (glass) before the pillars. All you need is a little residue. This will help keep polish out of the cracks
