Just a personal thread to all the fathers and soon to be fathers.

I find out tomorrow on my 27th birthday if my wife and I are having a boy or girl! We are praying for a healthy one no matter what sex it is. We felt it kick for the first time last night.

Any words of advice without getting too out of control on here would be appreciated! I'm just trying to keep my wife comfortable and helping as much as possible with just house chores.

Our guess is a girl, names we are pretty far off! I keep kidding with her whoever has a better bracket gets to name the kid! (NCAA)

Im the MAN

Cheers to all you great dads! :props:

Congrats on your new baby!! I was over 10 years your senior when our first daughter came along (we have 2 now). It is the best, life-altering event you can ever experience!! Live in the moment and enjoy the time; as mentioned, they grow up so quickly!!

Cheers to you, as well as to your Wife and, I'll take a guess, the "kicking baby boy"!

And...In order for you guys to not have any further 'naming-confusion'...Please feel free to name your baby boy after me.

Best Wishes to you and yours,

Bob 'Lombardi'

:)

Congrats!

I have 5 and wouldn't have changed a thing.... they keep me young. Now bring on the grandkids!!!

Awe man congrats! I just had my first, a baby girl a month ago, so I know what your going through. It's super cool. Your lady will drive you nuts and you'll get testy with each other but once the baby pops out, your life will begin. I didn't find out the sex until she was born, so you have an advantage knowing ahead of time. Take lots of pregnancy pics and always remember that after the baby grows up, it will be you 2 again so make sure you put each other and yor relationship as a priority too. Don't lose sight of that. You'll love every minute of being a dad, I have absolutely nothing bad to say of any of it, pregnancy or being a new dad. Good bye sleep, hello happiness!

Congratulations on your soon-to-be baby. I have two and they have changed my life in ways I never dreamed. You have a love for your children that's greater than the love you have for yourself. It's hard to describe, but from the time they are born you live for them, and you don't mind it at all. I guess that's what love really is.

Congrats! The advice I offer is to enjoy every minute take pictures every day. The time they are small is so short. The lack of sleep and early morning feedings will pass quickly. It is hard for me to believe my son is now 10 and my daughter is going to be 7 in a few months.

Congrats! Our little boy is a little over 3 months now and it is awesome being a dad. My advice:

1. Before baby arrives, go find a copy of the video "The Happiest Baby on the Block". That guy works magic getting a baby to stop crying.

2. Buy a bigger brita filter and pitcher, your wife will be drinking water constantly if she's nursing.

3. The checklist my wife had for her labor bag was huge, we didn't use 3/4 of the stuff we brought. The stuff she did REALLY need was candy suckers and jolly ranchers (they won't let her eat anything else once she is admitted). They were actually going to take away her ice chips cause she was eating too many.

4. What I needed was confortable clothes, shoes, a cell phone and a wallet, that's about it.

5. If possible, have your famiily bring gifts to your house after your home or have someone you trust bring gifts home for you. I had to make an extra trip home just with gifts that filled up the station wagon.

Congrats Man!

Advice : Love every minute of it! They grow extremely fast and soak in each day, when they get older you wish they were younger - when they are younger you can't wait for them to get older..... scrap all that and enjoy each day!

Appreciate all the kind words. As of now the hospital is pretty far away since we live in the sticks. That makes me nervous. Hopefully I am not crazy man driver at that time.

Update, it's a girl!

In August we welcome Menzerna Dodo :)

Justtttttt kidding. I'm not that sick...yet!

We are leaning towards Addison Grace.

10 fingers and toes and functioning organs! God is amazing!

A moment that will always bring back special memories.....Congratulations!! :props:
