Hello everyone,

First order of business:

:welcome:...to AGO!!

Secondly:
-Gatorback...Has the warrantee-product for this GM vehicle.
-ValuGard's ETR III Kit

I've had excellent luck using Duragloss #253. Used it last on a customers neglected 05 Avalanche and was very impressed. Had a very dramatic darkening effect. Turned the pretty much gray side pillars from gray black. Its been three weeks since I treated it and still looks like the day I did it(I work with the guy). Bonus is that you cant beat the price.

Carpro DLUX. By far the best product I have used on plastics. Brings them back to a nice matte black finish and lasts.

I've always had good luck with 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I also have an avalanche. Tuf shine tire cleaner for all the surface prep. Tuff shine for plastic, then the clear coat. Easily got a year out of it in the florida sun. For the bed covers, I used the the spray paint for plastic, can't remember the name of it. First I lightly sanded to get all of the junk off, very light, washed, then painted. I tried a coat of clear on 1 of them it but did not like it.

Welcome!

I used the Wolfgang trim stuff from AG on the plastic grille and cladding on the Pacifica, and the black plastic bed trim rails on my F-150. Might be a tad costly to do all the trim on an Avalache.

OP...(Just to re-iterate):

For this GM-recognized (TSB:#04-08-111-001C) for this: "Cladding-uniqueness"...

-You can have a permanent solution: Gatorback Coatings;
-Three years worth: Valugard's ETR III
-Or, the repetitiousness involvement (plus costs): Required by other products' innateness of:
Having to do over, and over, and over, ad infinitum...

Your choice.

Lots of choices noted above.; I have no personal experience with it, but it caught my eye because they show the exact work needed on two of my cars, a Honda CRV (LOTS of black trim), and a 1991 BMW.
What I thought interesting was that there is a lot of what I guess is the oxidized plastic surface layer coming off onto the terry cloth applicator. I have no idea how each of the above products approaches restoration of black body plastics that have oxidized, but logically, I would think you would want to remove the oxidized layer, much like old oxidized paint, to get down to the original material; then, leave it with UV protection.

For a detailing pro, I guess the first recommendation, the Solution Finish, would be best, because it seems to be really fast. I would be interested in side-by-side comparisons, but I can't justify buying a bunch of different products to test, as I am just a hobbyist.

You guys obviously haven't seen that Wipe New commercial! The guy used it on his Avalanche and said he has never seen it look like that! It's a must try.

Okay in all seriousness I would have to say CarPro DLux as Jason mentioned. It is the only one I have used, but so far the results have been fantastic! Very easy to apply as well.
