Backing Plates interchangeable between GG6 and PC7424?

I recently got a new Griot's Garage 6" polisher (hasn't even been out of the box yet), and I was wondering if I'll need to buy a new backing plate for it or if I can just use the one I already have for my old PC (an original non-XP 7424). I can't recall the model # of the one I have, just that I'm pretty sure it's lake country.

I was probably going to get a new smaller one for the PC anyway, to use 4" pads with it.

Awesome, thanks. My hope was to be able to carry on using the same pads & plate I already have, just with my new GG6 in place of the PC. :xyxthumbs:
