Sometimes when you're not home part of the poop will be really stuck and won't come loose with just QD and a towel, unless you rub hard and risk scratching the paint. I wonder if carrying a spray bottle of distilled water with baking soda dissolved in it won't neutralize the acid till you get home later and can wet it down well or work on it more later. Just give it a few squirts to buy time. What do you guys think?

I usually like to treat bird etches with some baking soda/water paste. Seems to help (sometimes). Not sure what you suggest will really do anything, but it can't hurt (other than giving you a powdery white stain).

I've removed dried poop from my car with nothing more than a few tissues and bottled water. The key is to fold the tissue a couple times then wet it and let it sit on the poop until it has softened.

I had a coffee and sat next to the car until I could employ Mike's scrunching technique to lift the softened poop. Worked like a charm.

Luckily the wife understood and just went into the grocery store without me...
