Went on vacation to Newport Beach, CA area last week and the wife booked us on a tour of the harbor. Was kind of zoning out when I heard the guide say, "and that home is owned by Barry Meguiar, owner of Meguiar's car care product company." That brought me to attention and I snapped a couple pics. Pretty sweet place!

I remember seeing an interview with Barry that took place in the house. It really is beautiful. If I recall correctly it was a home that belonged to his family and he bought it and renovated it to be even better.
 
Barry's is an amazing and gracious person. I met him with Mike P (Mike was nice enough to take time to introduce my wife and I to him, thanks again Mike) at the cocktail reception at the host hotel at Detail Fest 10. I will always remember that, he always takes time for everyone.

I like Meguiars products and I have used Gold Class wax for years,,I'm sure I have bought enough wax and other stuff to pay for a few windows in that beutiful place,
plus I believe Barry may be an enthusiast as well as a great guy.
 
He is indeed a warm person. I walked right up to him at the Amelia Island Concours and said hello.
 
Barry is a super nice guy. This was a few years ago

Saw him in a video with Larry Kosilla. Seems like a really cool guy. Nice house too ;)
 
Barry seems to always have a positive, infectious attitude. He also seems to remain "hip", while simultaneously having ties to the past.

Glad you got to go!
