Batmobile Documentary

Ha...

Looks like they're running Super Swampers on the back...

That's what I have on my project truck, 42" Super Swampers...

:D

That car is so cool!
Those tyres look like they can get through anything!

Mike didn't you work on a Batmobile?

Yes, Nate Truman's recreation... FOX movies wanted to use his car instead of one of the originals because Nate did such a great job of recreating it down to all the original components used on one of the originals. Even the body on Nate's was pulled from the original molds. Nate documents his build on CarStarCentral.com

I arranged to have a number of my customer's bring their cars to Meguiar's while I worked for them for "Extreme Makeovers" and just to give my forum friends a chance to work on some cool cars... we did an extreme makeover on my buddy Nate Trueman's 1966 Batmobile recreation and I though it would be fun to have the "Joker" meet the "Batmobile"

This is Nate's Batcave...

I've also worked on the Joker Truck painted by Cory St. Clair, a very talented painter.

I actually sanded and buffed this truck twice because of damage and customizations over a couple of years it was being built. The cab was cleared with one type of clear and the bed was cleared with a different paint system and no one told me. I figured it out pretty quick when I found my sanding marks were easy to remove out of the cab but difficult to remove out of the bed.

As a detailer, you always need to be ready for the unexpected...

Wow thats incredible! Must be really cool getting to work on cars like that :)

The Joker truck is pure artwork! And extremely low!

Picking up the different paint systems definitely shows experience and knowledge

It is. The Batmobile is the Pinnacle of all cars to detail in my book. It is the most famous and iconic custom car in the world.

I met Cory St. Clair while wetsanding and buffing out a Tuner car for a Pilot TV show, Chip Foose stopped by the set too and then Cory, Chip and I all went back to Chips' shop and sat around and talked cars for a couple of hours.

Lots of hours behind a rotary buffer and focusing on the task at hand, something everyone should do when buffing out a car.

It sure is one of the true car icons!

It must be so nice to see a car on tv and say that you detailed it :)

Many of the cars we had on the second season of our TV show went through our Thursday Night,

Extreme Makeovers
Show Car Makeovers

But these cars were all done by a team of people, not just myself.
