I was looking to apply a coating to a Battleship Gray F-150. The finish appears to be a matte type finish. I normally use the Carpro Quartz Coating. What would be the best coating for this color of vehicle. This is my first detail for this color of vehcile. I know that the color is becoming very popular. Wasn't sure if I needed to do anything different with this color vehicle.

I have been using CQuartz UK 3.0 on Matte paint finishes with great success. I first used Gyeon Q2 Matte and then CarPro’s Skin, but have using UK 3.0 on the last handful of Matte finishes and I see no reason to use a “dedicated matte” coating. It does not make them shiny whatsoever and is quite enjoyable to work with.

If it's a stock color Lithium Gray or Abyss I don't believe they aren't matte finish.

Here's a couple we did. Weren't matte. Hood on Challenger was only. They took ceramic just fine.

Good luck.

Yeah, Lead Foot is another popular one in my area. Looks like a glossy primer to me, but a lot of people seem to like it.

The PPV shop got the new Beige Charger to up-fit...
