Hey guys - I've read a lot of the APC threads but since I am getting ready to place an order for some tonight I was wondering on opinions. Right now I think it's between the Meg's 101 and the DP High Intensity APC. Thoughts?

I've heard great things about DP HI APC. No personal experience though as I get my APC in 5 gallon bottles for 1/3 the price.

I use both and have no problems using the DP all over the interior. I keep a bottle mixed 10-1 for interiors. I haven't got to spray a heavier mix on an engine area yet.

Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner D101- $16.99 per. gallon here at autogeek.

Dilutes 10:1, making a total of 10 gallons of APC. That's $1.69 per. gallon or $0.42 per. 32 oz. bottle.

Amazing value and VERY effective!

la awesome

I've got some but haven't put it to the test yet

You will love it! It's my go to for sure:dblthumb2:

Several years ago I was using LA's Totally Awesome on tires diluted and it damaged some wheel covers leaving permanent spots that could not be fixed! (It was rinsed immediately and not left to dry)

I would certainly think twice about using it nowadays. How safe and non-caustic could it really be for only $1?

Agree with Megs D101, very effective and safe. I haven't used the DP, never had a reason too

You read the other threads and didnt find any opinions?

I'm a meguiar's fan.

Its very safe at 1to1 but like anything if not used properly it can do damage

I recently bought the DP & absolutely love it. I keep some 10:1 for interiors, & some 4:1 for engines & exterior trim. I'm sold.

la awesome
I use it for tires only - never on anything else. That doesn't really make it an All Purpose Cleaner for a vehicle. I love it for my apartment though.

In my opinion the best I've used is Optimum Power Clean, but I currently use Meguiar's D101 because it is cheap and dilutes better than OPC. OPC is better on the interiors and a better tire cleaner too, but not enough for me to use it in my personal detailing supply. At work, however, I use OPC. When I run out of D101 I will likely buy OPC for myself though.

If you buy a gallon and you're just using it yourself, either one will last lo g enough that the price difference really won't matter. I've had D101 for two years now and almost used half.

i love OPC. so versatile. has been in my arsenal for years now. totally off topic, but recently i found out it works really well at removing decal adhesive from perspex/acrylic cases and uv coated cardboard (scale model sleeves) without damaging them at all. a lot of the products out there are too oily or have solvents that always manage to leave evidence of use. i mean, if i left it on there, i know it'd do something bad, but i'm careful and swift and have no issues.

P21s Total Auto Wash for paint & other sensitive surfaces. Clean my matts and stubborn tar off the lower rocker panels.

D101 diluted 1-4 for good general cleaning

I was using at 10:1 when it damaged the wheel covers on my old work car. Now granted, it's probably not safe on wheel covers, but when spraying on tires over spray in inherent.

I certainly wouldn't use on customer vehicle, and would encourage others to use caution when using these types of cleaners.

I'm right there with you, I've had LATA do some damage to interiors as well. I still love the stuff and use it regularly, but as far as it being a great "all" purpose cleaner, it sucks.
DP high intensity is an awesome apc. Working off my 6th gallon already.
