Best coating for silver paint

Getting ready to do a ceramic coating on a new silver car this spring. I have not owned a silver car for a while (probably before coatings were popular). I recall that it was challenging to find waxes or sealants that made the color really pop. At the time the best I found was Pinnacle Sovereign wax.

I think I've narrowed it down to 2 different diy coatings - Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light or Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0. I have Gtechniq CSL topped with Polish Angel High Gloss on my weekend car and it has great gloss and clarity.

Anything else I should consider?

I've always enjoyed a good looking silver car it's a great color on a car with the right body lines.

I don't think you can go wrong with any coating on silver. You can bring out the reflective shine of the color with something like Gyeon Mohs EVO or you can go with a coating that will darken it a bit and give it some depth like Armour Detail Supply's Quartz Coating. When I last had a silver car I was always impressed by how good it looked when I used a carnauba wax on it. The paint seemed to glow. Of course the wax only lasted about 8 weeks too so there were down sides...

I've never tried the Gtechniq products so I don't know anything about them. CQuartz UK 3.0 is very similar to Armor Detail Supply in appearance from my experience. Mohs EVO is much easier to apply than any else I've tried. CQUK 3.0 is really tough and will go the distance, but so far my vehicle with Mohs EVO seems to be holding up really well too.

I don't think it really matters on silver. Most coatings are going to have a glossier glass like reflection which works well on lighter colors.

On silver you won't notice a difference in appearance with any coating that is applied to it. What exactly are you looking for in a ceramic coating?

From the two options you have posted my personal recommendation would be CQUK. Gtech CSL on its own lacks in hydrophobic so if that is important then you want to add Exo on top.
