Hey guys, another shopping questions :D

In you opinion, what is the best power washer in 200$ range? I am leaning towards sun joe spx3001, but there are also some threads that suggest AR Blue one. Any owners here?

Also, I am thinking of picking up a good, short gun and foamer, but to be honest I have no idea what to get as I am not familiar with US adaptors. Would appreciate the help!

Thanks again!

I had a Karcher and that didn't meet expectations. I have the SPX3001 for 3 years now I think, and never had an issue. The only challenge I have is the length of their hose was 15-20' I think and it really wasn't long enough. I am used to it now though at the expense of several minutes loss of productivity. I can live with that. Since then, though, Sun Joe did develop a longer hose. I am unsure if they sell it with the unit or only by accessory.

Arn't Karcher PS also troublesome in terms of accessories? Can you change the gun on them?

Greenworks; Powerplay PressureJet;
and AR Blue Clean (for example)
have quite the variety of differently
rated PSI/GPM/Amperage electric
Pressure Washers...all of which are
within your stated price range.

I have been very satisfied with this machine:

GreenWorks GPW1950

The most recommended that I've seen is the:
AR Blue AR390SS

It seems to have the right balance of price vs adding features like the On-board Hose Reel & Metal inlet/outlet connections.....

The only downfall is you need an adapter to run some accessories:
AR390SS Adapter

I bought a 1900 psi Power Stroke from Costco for $150. Not bad. Best thing is that it comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Resurrecting an old thread.

I have a gas powered pressure washer (3200 PSI, 2.5 GPM) that is probably too powerful for use on car paint. You also have to operate it at full volume and cannot turn it down, other than by using different nozzles which do little more than change how wide of a spray it puts out. Also, it needs to be turned off if you don't intend to keep pressing the trigger at least every 60 seconds...otherwise the pressure relief valve will pop.

With that said, I'm looking for an electric pressure washer to do rinses, and possibly also to run a foam cannon/gun.

While at a big box store I saw 2 PWs by Greenworks. One for $79.00 is rated for 1600 PSI @ 1.2 GPM. The other one is $139 and it provides 1800 PSI @ 1.1 GPM. I truly don't know the typical requirements for use with vehicles and/or foam devices, so any info would be helpful.

Is the lower pressure with a fractional amount more flow of the cheaper one the way to go, or is the more expensive one with 200 more PSI, but a slight bit less flow rate, better. Or, are neither of these devices, PSI, or flow rates recommended?

Sun Joe SPX3000.....works great with my 20.00 knock off foam cannon

I have the Greenworks 1500 PSI washer. I use it with the hi-pressure soap attachment from Greenworks. It produces a white soap covered
car when washing. I put a couple of ounces of Megs Citrus Was and Wax in the container with water filled to near the top. Stir it and wash.
Works well and I'm on my second year with it.

I just received the Sun Joe SPX 4000 and the wife got a great deal from BJs. Less than $150 with an electronic coupon. I asked for the SPX-FC34 foam cannon for birthday. That will be next month.

Davy and I go way back on this topic, and I completely trust his judgment and advice on these things!
I've read just about every detail and review man made on these Sun Joe products and came to the conclusion that this SPX4000 is the way to go. Sure the 4001 has a built in "Hose Reel" but guess what-they decrease the thickness of the hose itself so its easier to roll up on the reel. (Makes sense) So today Im heading out to Lowes where I not only get my Military Discount, but my Manager friend there will match the Amazon price of $159-so therefore it'll be roughly $143 plus tax.

The one thing I do NOT know about, is what "Accessories" to get with this unit? None of the Branded Foam Cannons will work on this-correct? Do I just get Sun Joe Wands and Extensions? From what I read, not many accessories can attach to the proprietary Sun Joe brand? (Hence the SPX-FC34 foam cannon) you mention Davy. So, does this truly limit my usability with all the other ones sold on AutoGeek?

Hey Davy- could you please post those recommended connector pieces and links you shared on my Thread?
Since I will soon have the same Unit that you do, I want to mirror the equipment/ products you go with ok?
After all, you're from New England brother! :)

I have a new SunJoe SPX 3500. Love it! Accepts standard fittings where the old models did not. It’s nice and quiet. Has plenty of power. My gas washer just sits now.

Hi Gunny. I just got back from vacation. Check your email for the links.

I just recently picked up the SunJoe SPX4000. Grabbed an MTM SG28 gun, SJ extension hose for an extra 25 feet and the MATCC foam cannon. Out the door just over $200.
