I recently bought some wolfgang exterior trim sealant. It works awesome and looks great. However I used it on my F150 bumper step treads and as I was doing other work set the bottle on the bumper and the sealant was so slippery it kept sliding off! So before I used it on my running boards which I use everyday I thought I better find a better product for a tread style application. Don't get me wrong the Wolfgang looks great on exterior trim but not a good idea for any plastic you might have to step on. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that looks good and isn't slippery as an ice skating rink?

It's not advisable to put anything on there.Gtech c4 is a nice product if you ever have to do any plastic or trim restore.

Thanks will have to try that. I can understand why the recommendation is to to not put anything on them but I would like something to prevent water spots and to help the tread to look new for longer

You can heat them up with a heat gun, makes them brandnew without any conceal products.

Turtle Wax Endura Trim Coat. Absolutely zero slick and the stuff looks amazing and outlasts everything else. I've used it on pedals [including mine], rubber matts, I've even coated the entire black plastic floor inside of a Chevy Silverado with perfect results.
