So, of course, the only spot I find near the set yesterday is under a freakin' tree. A tree that is filled, I find out later upon returning to my truck, with birds.

Since I don't have time to order the primo stuff from AG, what OTC car wash out there is the best value and does a better than average job of washing a newly detailed truck.

Thanks !

Ed
I hate birds :doh

Meguiars Gold Class Wash N Wax is my favorite OTC wash, Great stuff and only about 10 bucks!

Duragloss has a wash that is also supposedly very good but I don't remember the name nor have I have used it lol

It's Duragloss 901/902 depending on size. Can be found at a couple of the Brick & Mortar retailers, DG's website lists them. I'm a big fan of the DG car wash.

Chemical Guys showroom is in Inglewood, CA not sure how far away that is from you with traffic. If not too far and if they are open then I would go there

For an otc wash I like megs gold class. My shampoo maker of choice though is chemical guys. I love there washes!

++1 on Durogloss901 available at most NAPA stores.

Megs gold class is another thats available just about anywhere.

Thanks everyone - I've used Megs and I like it but I'm in the mood for something new. Found a local Advance that carries Dura so I'm going to try that...

Will report back if anyone is interested :)

Please report back on how YOU like DG901....I love this soap.....and I think you will too.

And it smells GREAT.

I always get DG902 at my local napa store. One of the best shampoos I've ever used.

Love me some DG901!! Great Stuff, I actually like the scent!

Knowing this is a little different idea, but Target has Meg's Ultimate wash & wax for $8.05 which is a LOT less than anywhere else. I don't normally use it, but figured I'd try it and see. Probably work good for a freshening up when the vehicle is finished with polymer type products, like M21 & Ultimate Wax for instance. :dunno:

Well, both stores that I stop'd at were out of DG so I hit a local detailing store (sorry AG!) and bought some Optimum on the sale's crews advice.

First impressions - it's very very bubbbly, works easily, and really cleaned the paint with minimal effort. Not bad for a ten dollar car shampoo. Going to try it out on the swaggerwagon MiniVan this week that is quite dirty so I'll see how it reacts under stress. Thanks for everyone's input - Dura is next before I adopt a car wash officially.
