Scoot you dont mess around!! I just posted this like 2 minutes ago!! I just want conditioner!! I just got my AG order and I ordered a bottle of the DP interioir cleaner.

P.S. Stevie Ray rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That he does/did my friend! You ever hear of Eric Sardinas? Awesome Dobro rocking guy.
You get the banana smelling stuff, I love that!
I basically use cleaner/conditioner mix, most otc is. I see Lexol at places like Andersons, Murrays, and a few other places, never use dit but supposed to be alright.
You what I use to simply clean nasty leather, good old $2 saddle soap! Still works like a charm, give it a shot, conditions too. $2-4$ at any Wal mart, etc in the shoe section, groceries even carry it. Not the best, but I got some when I needed to do my saddle bags in a pinch, been hooked ever since. I always follow with a condtioner if I can. But saddle soap can really deep clean IMHO.

If you are looking for a good leather conditioner - wally world is not a place to look. Armor all, black magic, and all other stuff they carry only will age your leather. Instead you should look at boutique brand. Wolfgang and Pinnacle are the best. There is a Wolfgang sale right now going on, so you might wanna get a bottle while it's on sale for $14.99.
And just like me, after you try it - you will not go back to those cheap brands...
By the way, Lexol is better then Armor all, but still very far from Wolfgang and Pinnacle. Expensive conditioners actually condition your leather, and have new leather smell.

OTC.......gotta go with LEXOL. Best bet. Been around a long time.

:iagree:

Lexol = OTC
Poorboys Leather = OTC Pricing
Pinnacle, Leathrique, Connollys = Best Offerings

Yup I just use Lexol, since I can grab it quickly at almost any store. Have a friend who uses the Pinnacle Conditioner and it's very nice.

I haven't tried Lexol but I have some of the Poorboys Leather Stuff, am I the only one that finds it leaves your seats a little slippery or is this a common afteraffect of any leather conditioner? It doesn't leave an oily look behind, everything dries back to the natural matte look, but my seats seem to be more slick than before.

I thought I applied sparingly and buffed well, any tips?

Actually I heard from other's that they prefer to use PB Natural Look on their leather instead of their conditoner.

He is looking for OTC, I suggested a few, also mentioned my love of Pinnacle.
As per Lexol, I haven't tried it, how is it really, even worht it or wait until placing another order? I use the Pinnacle cleaner/conditioner in one, would it be best to go with two seperate ones?
I like saddle soap for deep cleaning, it has worked for me when none of my other (5 to choose from) otc's seemed ot make a real dent. Then again, bikes seem to take a lot of dirt.

Gah don't scare me! I'm thinking about buying a bike and was thinking about how much easier it will be to detail than a car :-P

That's why I mentioned Lexol in my other post, monkey boy #2 :D .

Lexol works great on our leathers from Ford, Lincoln, Lexus, Jag etc. But for boutique, my buddies Pinnacle Conditoner is pry the best.

No, much more time consuming, by far...if you do it good!
With a car, basically you have nice big flat areas to work with, on a bike so many nooks and crannies, various types of stuff to clean and condition. For me to do a full detail on my bike, clean unders, wheels, wash, drying is the real beech, simple wax, and to polish all the chrome, easily 4 hours, usually around 6! Same procedure with a car, around 2.
Don't let that steer you away from one though, nothing like a Harley! Two things you must live by....Helmet Laws suck and Loud Pipes Saves Lives!

Not exactly a Harley type of guy. I love the aluminum VRSCA's but I'm more of a speed guy so I'm lookin at a Duc 748 biposto. I figured it be easier because much less chrome and a lot of stuff is hidden/protected behind fairings.

And after the whole Ben Turdburglar episode and knowing how drivers in the DC area are, definitely plan on wearing a helmet. I just need to find a good artist to airbrush my helmet with the design I want.

Ahh, he is actually from right near us, about an hour away, his little sis plays sprts and competes against out school, so he shows up once in awhile, me for one, coudl care less abotu sports, but some people do.
Ducs are supposed to be super sweet! The Vrod is actaully HD's best overall bike in performance (duh).

thanks everybody!! I can get lexol locally so I think I will go with that!!!

Another vote for Wolfgang, it leaves the leather so soft and natural looking :righton:
