Best product combo to use with a PC

Hello folks. I've just ordered a PC 7424 Kit ( http://www.autogeek.net/hk7424.html ) from the Geek :cheers:
I bought it because I love detailing, and a friend of mine has seen my work by hand, and likes what he sees, and wants me to do some work for him.
I agreed to detail some customers' cars for my friend who owns a speed shop, and there will be like 90% Corvettes, and GM hi-performace cars. I have included a service to remove swirls, and small imperfections on my service list I have provided to him.
With all that being said, here's my question;
I want a 1-2 punch product-combo that will remove swirls, small scratches, and will also good to follow-up for a perfect finish, or close to perfect that I can use with my new PC
I really don't want to carry a full line of products to do this kind of work especially when I'm just starting at this. I hear good things about XMT-1 and XMT-2 would this be enough to start with and get the job done?
I also hear SSR2.5 and SSR1 as a good combo. Then Menzerna IP and FP;
Optimum also comes to mind. Anyway, which ones do you guys recommend as a proven, results oriented combo?
I already have enough LSP I can use, but I'm relatively new to the world of paint correction.
I want to be simple, but efficient. of course, as I go on, I will be adding more products to my arsenal.
As of right now, I'm leaning towards 3M products like 39002, 3m Machine glaze, because I can get it locally.
I figure you guys have tried AG sold products, and their line is so good, I don't even know where to start, and what to order.
Pretty much, a proven combo, easy to use, less dust is what I'm after.
I've also learned the uses of the orange pad, and the gray, and white pads as the ones I'll be using the most for my projects. Any tips, on pads, application on the PC will also be of great use to me.
Advice please!

If your looking for strictly a good one two punch, make it a possible three, include Optimum Hyper Compound and Optimum Compound, and optimum polish. For bad cars, use Hyper, and decent ones Compound. Both have looong possible working times, they really do their job, and have almost zero dusting. Use orange and if needed a yellow pad. Corvette clear I think could take a sledge to the side and send YOU flying, its hard stuff if its bad!

Optimum polish can remove micro marring, and just beautifies the paint as a finishing polish, use with a white pad. Then proceed to wax.

For wax DP Maxwax or Pinnacle Signature Series II are great waxes and are to me underpriced. Excellent products.

This is the products that work for me. Bad swirls, scratches, water spots and oxidation go with optimum compound, Poorboys SSR3 Megs #83, Megs #4. You will have less dust with OC and SSR3. Less swirl, most new cars and cars that people take care of go with XMT3 or XMT2. Remember scratch catches your fingernail then it’s too deep to remove. Always start out with the less aggressive polish.
 
Thanks guys. I guess what i should've said was just a combo. it doesn't have to be a 1-2 combo, but something you want to have at your reach to get the job done.
Isn't the SSR3 too harsh? I guess it will depend on how bad the finish is, right? If I'm going to use that, will I be using the yellow pad, then the orange pad with the SSR1? Then follow up with a polish with a white pad?
Or in the case of the Optimum; use the Optimum Hyper Compound with orange for bad swirls, then follow with the OC and orange pad, then the OP with the white pad?
Sorry about the questions, I'm sure I know more than I think I do, but just want to get some good advice from you guys to re-assure my feelings. Oh, I've already seen a few videos, including the AG's and others. :)
I know all about the Vette CC, is as hard as a rock!

Id say go with the optimum compounds. While ssr3 is nice, it seems that it gums up my pads quite effectively. Plus you cant beat the long work time of optimum and it shows on bad areas.

You can use SSR3 on any pad technically, but as far as abrasiveness goes, orange and then yellow for the worst defects.

And yes a polish or finishing polish owuld be applied by the white pad. I just love optimum polish or XMT1.

On the order of polishing, I personally evaluate the damage on the car and start from there. Sometimes you can start right out with say Hyper Compound, and if needed do a pass of Optimum Compound and then polish, or it can just need say Optimum Polish on an orange pad. There is no set in stone method, its all done depending on what the condion of the car is in.
 
I will also recommend Optimum. And if you want to keep it to a minimum, just get the Hyper Compound and the Polish. That's what I did. I've read that if you need something inbetween the two, just mix a 50/50 container of HC and OP, and vola you have Compound!
