Hey everyone, could you all give me suggestions on a product to use to spray on and remove bug guts? It's hard for me to wash my car than once a week, and living in the south we get a lot of bugs. Thankfully not the love bugs like Florida. I want something that is absolutely, 100%, clear coat safe (I know that some cleaners are hard on it over time), and at the same time safely loosen bug guts so that I won't have to scrub and scratch my car.

On my new white car, there a couple tiny places on the front bumper where bugs have left a brown or black stain. I tried using a light cleaner polish and I can't get the stains gone. I guess I'm going to have to use a quick detailer to get the bugs off the front for now until I can wash it Sunday. If I can't seal the entire car, I'm at least doing the front bumper and mirrors.

What do you all like to use?

This has worked great for me:

Detailer’s Road Kill Bug Remover Combo, bug cleaner, bug remover

Living in Florida, those love bugs are a problem and you can't let the guts sit very long. If you're talking about removal soon after the splat then this will do the trick.

If you're talking about stains from baked on old guts, then that's a different story that may or may not be correctable.

Good luck!

Can I use the Road Kill product and a MF on a car that's dirty to remove bugs? Or do I need to use a quick detailer first?

Since the bugs normally splat on the front bumper area, I start my wash process here - just hose the bumper down a bit then apply the Road Kill and let it sit for just a few minutes.

Then, use the bug scrubber (soak it in water first - it'll seem aggressive at first but it's not - they do a great job) to remove the bugs, rinsing along the way.

From there I do my normal wash...:xyxthumbs:

Diamondite Bug Eraser is what I have been using. It's waterless so it goes with a rinseless/waterless wash well.

Thanks, I got some of the Poorboy's. I spent way TOO much on detailing stuff tonight, even with the discount. Oh well, I can't wait to get this car cleaned up.

I have both bug squash and DP road kill.

Strong vote for pb bug squash.
