Best Product To Remove Light Scratches

Hi Mike,
I have a 1998 Black Eclipse Spyder GST. I have a few scratches on the door. What is the best combination of products to use with the Porter Cable to remove them. Wolfgang, Pinnacle XMt, or Griots. What color pad and what products do you recommend?

I've been using Meguiars SwirlX and ScratchX 2.0 and I'm mostly happy with the results. The only thing is that it looks like those products leave some of their own swirls in my paint finish. Obviously the swirls that those compounds are creating are not as bad as what was originally there so it's a definite improvement. I don't know if the swirls that the products are leaving are my fault or if that's just what they do. I use a Porter Cable 7424XP with a white Lake Country pad. I know I'm probably supposed to use an orange pad, but I just don't have the courage to go more abrasive. Anyhow, I'd like to see other people's input regarding scratch and swirl removers.

I have the PC XP and am using the XMT line to correct paint. Depending on how bad the scratches and swirls are I am using either XMT #2, or #3 with a orange LC CCS pad first, based on test section. Then moving to #1 w/ a White LC CCS.So far this has been a great combo for me. And it seems almost full proof for a nob like me. Hope this helps.
 
Pictures would help. Does your finger nail stick in the scratch? You can get some Menzerna power finish 203. It is a good all around product. You can use a white or orange pad for heavier stuff. You can also use a soft green pad with it as a one-step polish.

Do you have any product now?
 
Just light scratches. I can't feel them with my fingernail. I haven't ordered any product yet. Thanks for your info.
 
Wolfgang 3.0 polishes or Menzerna SIP and Nano -- tag team combo's
 
I just got the Megs twins (105/205) and it is doing things that XMT could not come close to doing. I am doing everything faster and with better results.
