Whether it's from a sticker on the Glass of the car that leaves a super sticky residue, Or a plastic spray bottle that had a very strong sticker on it, I have been having a REALLY hard time completely removing the residue.

Ive tried 50%-90% Rubbing Alcohol, and I have tried Megs Super Degreaser at 10-1, and also Undiluted. None of that stuff has broken down the residue.

Would would be be the Best product to use in this situation?

Thankyou!

Goo Gone may work. I use 3M adhesive remover which works great. Very volatile so it evaporates quickly but obviously has some VOCs going in your face. My wife has some towelettes at work that great adhesive remover and more oily than the 3M stuff. Will ask her what those are.

1) Goo Gone

2) 3M Adhesive remover

3) Acetone or Mineral Spirits (use at your own risk)

The organic citrus solvents used in Rapid Remover and Citrol are safe and more effective than anything you can buy in an auto parts store. I HIGHLY recommend buying one of these products. They are VERY expensive but they are two products I wouldn't live without. I buy them both by the gallon.

It would be nice if AG sold them. AG does sell Xenit Citrus Cleaner & Remover which I assume is VERY similar to Rapid Remover and Citrol, but Xenit is only available as an aerosol which IMO wouldn't be cost effective for professionals. If you only need an adhesive remover for personal use though I would buy Stoners Xenit.

Never used this product... but people rave over Citrol
Supposed to melt away bug guts and decal/sticker adhesive quickly.
You're supposed to wash it off really quick after use as it is not safe for paint.

I have Castrol Super Clean (super degreaser) but never used to remove adhesive residue yet.

Very careful with 3M. Any over spray on plastic parts will strip off its paint/dye.

Great choices from custmsprty. Also wanted to add Gtechnic Panel Wipe along with Prep-All, paint safe and work extremely well on stick residue.

I reach for wd40 and keep using a clean section of towel after a couple of passes.

goo gone spray gel is nice as you can spray it on and let it dwell and it doesn't run off as fast. I have mixed the goo gone gel 50/50 with goof off and got a stronger product with a bit of thickness left so it will stay where it is sprayed and soften things up well.

Hands down awesome stuff. I always keep a 32oz can in my cabinet.

Agree 100%. And it says right on the can that it is clearcoat safe. :props:

I'll typically start with Goof Off, but if that doesn't work I'll move on to Stoner's Tarminator. I've not found much that stuff won't remove.
