Best Tape for Wet Sanding?

Hey guys!

New wet sander here. I'm wondering what the best type of tape is for wet sanding (abrasion and water resistant). The blue 3M stuff gave way pretty quickly.

Any input?

Your best bet is the green 3M 233+ tape. This is made for body shop operations where maintaining a strong foot hold is paramount. It is also resistant to bleed through.

Supposedly the new 3M Precision Masking Tape is even better

It is thinner and does not have the crepe paper backing

Make sure you also pick up some of the 3M Blue Vinyl Tape. It withstands wet sanding very well and is great for protecting bodylines. Very good on sharper curves
