Best vinyl and dash protectant??

I just used Einszett Cockpit cleaner which is very nice, but does this provide any protection? I used Mothers VLR on top of it (which sucks btw). I like the natural shine of vinyl and don't want a protectant that provides shine. What do you guys suggest?
 
You will get a lot of different recommendations. I used VLR before and it did what it was supposed to. If you want something over the counter you could try meg's natural shine.
 
Although there are several to choose from, I have used Meg's Natural Shine and Poorboy's Natural Look. Both leave a nice natural look and smell nice.

Try 1Z Einszett Vinyl=Rubber Care Protectant.
 
I too have used 1Z Cockpit and love how it looks, but have been concerned about the lack of UV protection (I have a convertible.) Cockpit Premium does have UV protection, just not a lot. I talked to 1Z and they said that if we desired more UV protection, we could use 1Z Vinyl Protectant, but I haven't wanted to because it gives more of a shine. Of course, after laying down a coat they said that I could go back over it with Cockpit to remove the sheen.

I decided that this was probably not going to be the best combination for me, since I like the factory, natural look, so I decided to try Ultima Interior Guard Plus a try. I have read reviews that it has good UV protection and a very natural look. Plus, it lasts a long time! I should be receiving it this week.

Here's another thing to consider: if you don't have a convertible, you don't need to worry as much about UV protection. The windshield really filters out most of the UV radiation (this is the reason 1Z gave me for not having more UV protection in their product. They said if you want protection, use the exterior Vinyl Protectant.)

Others have also had very good luck with 303. I haven't tried it because I thought it would be a little too shiny for me - not Armor All, but still more than factory. If you want a little bit of shine, I would go with either 1Z Vinyl Protectant or 303. Check out reviews on all of them (just Google xxxxx reviews) and then you can see what other detailers have experienced with the products and see pictures to see if it imparts the looks that you prefer.

Ultima Interior Gaurd or Carpro Pearl will give you what you are looking for. 303 does an excellent job but make sure you go back over it with a clean microfiber after about 10.mins.
 
303 and Ultimate Interior Guard Plus for me. Both leave a nice finish, not to shiny (at least for me)
 
I have a convertible and I've been trusting CG InnerClean lately. Easiest product to use that I have tried, perfect finish, UV protection, all surfaces.

PERL and 303 are very similar (I can't tell much difference, even smell the same). Both will leave more shine than I think he's wanting. They aren't shiny but they aren't natural looking either.

I like Wolfgang Vinyl and Plastic protectant too. But again, it's not as flat as the Meg's or Poorboy's Natural Look, which once dried look almost as the car looks from the dealer.

Another alternative is Chemical Guys Inner Clean. It cleans and is said to give an OEM appearance. I haven't used this but have some ordered. It does have UV protectant also.

I know most people here are anti-Adams products, but you really should try Adams Total Interior Detailer. I love it on my Porsche cause it looks just like stock, just slightly darker which compliments the Porsche black/gray interior. And it cleans better, resists dust, and provides UV protection.

I just ran out of Adams Total Interior Detailer and bought a bottle of 1Z Cockpit Premium. I'll still use the entire bottle of Cockpit Premium, but once i'm out, i'm going back.

+1 I just got some of this after I ran out of 1Z Cockpit and I think I'm sticking with the Adams as I've been very impressed with it. I didn't realize how shiny 1Z was (which isn't very shiny at all) until I got the Adams. The problem I had with 1z was after about a week it would start to blotch and looked terrible, I did like the smell though.

I'm not opposed to any products; I just want the best! Thank you for the recommendation. I have a full bottle of Cockpit Premium and SONAX Dashboard Cleaner, but in a year when I run out, I'll pick up a bottle of the Adam's, assuming there isn't a bigger, better product by that time :hungry:

I will say, on my Range Rover dashboard where I wanted a bit of shine, plus a good amount if UV protection, I did use CarPro PERL with fantastic results. Prior to my Black Friday purchase of Ultima Interior Guard Plus, I was thinking about using a PERL dilution on the 911 dashboard. I'm thinking the UIGP will have a nicer, more factory look (plus since it lasts long I can always clean it up with 1Z or SONAX since the cleaning power isn't all that strong and it will tone down the shine - if there is one.)
