Hello everyone,

I've been detailing for a few years now and just recently bought a new car. It is bright red in color with no mica in the paint. Just straight, bright, give me a ticket RED. I believe the color is called TRUE Red and the car is a Mazda 3. When it comes to waxes I crave a wax that gives a wet look. To me this is paramount. For some time now I have been doing a layering of NXT and P21s. I just now noticed that p21s has a 100% formula now that is more expensive. I love the p21s regulars ability to bring out color in cars and like its results on my red color. Does anyone know if I would see better results with the p21s 100%. Also with the wealth of knowledge on these boards can you recommend other waxes that give a great wet look. Longevity is not an issue. I want the best look as I wax regularly anyway.

is this the stuff you guys are referring to? CLICKY
o yesss. one of my favorite carnuaba waxes.i own 3 tubs of it infact...nice warm wet glossy look it leaves and goes on like butter and comes off just as easy...

Since you did ask for suggestions;
Optimum Opti-Seal does a great job on our 2000 Bright Red Pontiac.
It looks good immediately and in my opinion, looks even better the next day.

Souveran paste! Some Dodo orange crush or bannana armor wouldn't be bad either.

I'll ask the big question. How much do you want to spend????

For bright red I think Pinnacle Signature Series II or Souveran both would look fantastic.

I haven't even used it yet (I'm anxiously waiting for spring), but I have to cast a vote here for Fuzion, especially given the sub-zero special. Two months ago I had to decide between Fuzion and Souveran, and one of the things that persuaded me to go with Fuzion was the testimony of a respected AG contributor that Fuzion gives, at least initially, an even wetter look than Souveran. I can't confirm this by direct experience, however.

I have also read very good things about P21S 100%. I was given a pot this past Christmas. I am looking forward to comparing Fuzion and P21S 100%.

I might also mention that when red cars are brought up, Victoria Concours Red is often invoked as an outstanding wax.

Cheers,
Al

I've noticed that even just one coat of Fuzion provides a really intense wet look. It gives reflections everywhere and the light just bounces off every single curve of whatever vehicle I apply it to.

So +1 for the Fuzion, or maybe a Dodo Juice soft wax for red cars.

I'd say fuzion too. But I don't know what the OP want s to spend. You got many recomendation. Fuzion is under $100($70) right now with the sub-zero sale, but no refill. Jump on it. Otherwise souveran($90) and dodo($60) are other great products

As far as price is concerned I think $80 to $90 is a good upper limit. I am very intrigued about that fuzion stuff. My car currently has a couple nice coats of the p21s Regular on it. I love the picture of the red Ferrari on the Fuzion page. If they really used the product on that picture that looks hot!

I think you will be happy with any Nuba. Souveran, Dodo, P21S, Fuzion, M16, M26 all look very good.

i also suggest fuzion because of the deal and also because it look really wet and slick on red, and all other colors

I just placed an order for the fuzion wax with a bonus of the deep gloss spritz. I 'll post how I think it compares to the P21s original when I get it. One thing to note though the car already has a nice coat of the p21s on it. Its only been a few weeks with it so putting on the Fuzion might have a nice layering effect.

That p21s Concours that you already have gives a pretty good look for the money. However I think that fuzion sale makes it too good a deal to pass up, although Ive heard Soveran is hte sheet for a wet look. Ive also heard thatt the durability of soveran is limited, so I would go with the fuzion, especially with it on sale. Cant g owrong there. Let me kow how it compares to the p21s. ID strip the existing wax you have on your car already before you apply what you get though. Id imagine 2 coats of fuzion on properly prepped paint would be a winner.

I just used Poor Boy's Natty Blue on my wife deep red Envoy this weekend and I was very happy with the results. The price is right as well. I prefer ther Natty Blue over the P21S any day.

Prima Amigo (glaze) topped with Opt Opti Seal or Duragloss 111
