I have a 89 300zx that has been painted a plum color with metal flake. The paint job is a few years old but still smooth to the touch since I clay bar it. What wax do you guys/gals think is best to really bring out the bet shine and make the metal flake really stand out? I plan on trying to enter it in some Z car shows.

Thanks in advance for your advice and help.

You'll get lots of opinions. Personally, I'd use a sealant or a glaze (if it's just for the show) instead of a wax. Try DWG alone or under/over your sealant of choice.

Also I would like the car to look as nice as possible since I do drive it for fun as well.

The most over-the-top flake pop that I've seen was Meghan's 300 after Ed gave it WG Fuzion.
Two other good ones, SSII, Max Wax.

Fuzion, Sig. Series II, Max Wax as Jimmie said, as well as 1 or 2 others that AG doesn't sell.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant, then Pinnacle Sig Series II great combo.

Klasse sg and S100 or Collinite 845

If you really want those flakes to pop, then try DP Max Wax or Pinnacle SSII.

I haven't tried SSII yet, but max wax is what I use to make flakes pop.

MaxWax gets my vote, SSII brings out metallic more then the flakes imo. Both look great though.
