Hi members i am thinking of buying a good brand wax for high end car with reasonable price. pls kindly advise. Thks in advance

How high-end is the car? How much as you looking to spend? What qualities are you looking for? What color is the car? How well will you be prepping the car?

There are a bunch of great waxes out there and some of them stand out depending on different factors. Some darken, some mute flakes, some highlight flakes, etc.

As Jon posted, many other factors go into this question.

If you are looking for the "best looking" wax, its all in the prep work. Even a poor quality wax can look great if the paint's surface is perfectly level and scratch/swirl free.

I don't think anyone can answer that question. All in prep work. I am yet to see the difference between $15 wax and $100 wax. Lot is in the marketing. My opinion as NOVICE you can't beat Colonite 845. Tried few different brands and all look same to me. As far as application ease Colonite is my favorite.
My 2 cents

zymol royale glaze is best on market

:iagree: :dblthumb2: :iagree:

I think they can overnight ship it for free!

Or you can use the search button and get a great deal of info from alot of very smart guys

There are 3 things you don't talk about here...religion, politics, and favorite wax.

I was so pumped when my fiance got me some Swissvax Concorso for my birthday. I learned about Swissvax from stumbling across Paul Dalton on youtube. So over the 4th of July weekend, I did a 3 stage machine polish on my car and sealed it with a layer of Swissvax Concorso. The result were great!!! The car is still beeding like crazy. I tested out some Collinite 915 which is significantly cheaper and achieved almost the same exact results. I think spending the money is just piece of mind for some people. I'm sure its a great wax but a $30 jar of Collinite can stand up to a $280 jar of Swissvax.

There are so many opinions on this very hard to answer question. If you are looking for a specific quality such as ease of removal or durability then you choices will get narrowed down. But to be honest if you go to the wax/sealants section, and find something that peaks your interest, then perhaps post about that specific wax and it may help you make a better decision. BTW welcome!

As this is your second post WELCOME!
I'm going to save you thousands by warning you in advance that the more you read the more you will be in dented to AG!! lol
Dude go get you some Turtle Wax and some Terry cloths and wax on-wax off! All this stuff is the same and you dont want to spend days and nights researching and reading when you could be waxing off and on! Turtle Wax FTW!

are you serious fred? god i hope so, turtle wax waxes do not work that well, most of them are not waxes just polishes anyways, super hardshell is just as it states super hard shell of wax that takes a weight lifter to remove after application, only turtle wax in my aresenal is the tire shine but thats another topic of why i use it. however if your looking for something over the counter thats fairly easy to find get some meguiars mirror glaze #26 or meguiars gold class carnauba plus. in all honesty its up to you to find a wax that you love the look of, everyone has their own wax that they just love. i do know collinite 845 is raved about and has great durability, im about to order some of that here soon. good luck on the never ending quest to find the best wax ;)

IMHO, ($ for $) is "Satin Cream" (for dark colors), it is made by BAF & distributed through Pro Car Care products. It is very easy to work with either by hand (if that's your thing), orbital or buffer. It has the same acrylic hardener as the high dollar paint sealants but it has 30% German imported carnauba....no, your arm will not fall off putting it on or taking it off & it has a very mild polish in it as well. - although I do use P21 Swirl Eliminator & polish prior to applying the SC.

I was unaware that Copernicia prunifera grew in Germany. I was under the understanding that is was grown and harvested in northern brazil.

Also what acrylic hardener is used in high dollar paint sealants? I thought most high-dollar paint sealants were made from an amino-functional silane or a acrylate copolymer.

I could not agree more with those who have advised that prep work makes the wax. I can save you a ton of money (which you will spend elsewhere at AG) by telling you to concentrate your efforts on your polishing and cleaning steps. This from the owner of Pinacle Souveran and Wolfgang Fuzion. They are both great waxes but my $15 Collinite 845 looks pretty darn good on a well prepared finish for a fraction of the money that the others cost. Just one man's opinion.

Welcome!

p21s is a pretty good wax the reviews say, just to let you know its not 100% pure carnauba however. if it was 100% pure it would be hard as a brick!. that just means either 100% of the wax content is carnauba or the carnauba in the wax is 100% pure. read some reviews and look at the pictures and make a judgement :) but as others have said the prep work is what really matters. if the paint dont look good before the wax it wont give you the results you will hope for. good luck with finding a wax!. also, what style of wax are you looking for paste or liquid? and let us know on what properties you want the wax to have such as durability, depth, shine ect. ect.
