Hi,

I live in a very rainy area, and we get a lot of pollen in the spring. I wash my car every couple weeks, and am looking for a good sealant or wax that is easy to apply and will not break the bank applying it after each wash. Thinking of eagle one nanowax spray or DG aquawax. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks

UPGP. The upfront cost can be considered high but you will be able to seal your car in 10 min and it is a great sealant and leaves your car slick and it looks good. I dont think you can find something easier than UPGP.

It also does a nice job of sheding water. I just washed one of my regular maintenance cars that take care of and UPGP did a great job of shedding the water too.

I just ordered UPGP so my opinion may change but Collinite #845 is really easy to apply and remove, doesn't need to be applied less than monthly with regular washings and it's like $15

I live in Biloxi, MS for the time being so I feel your pain about the pollen and rain. Yesterday it looked like someone had taken a shovel full of pollen and dumped it across my hood...

I use a California duster daily to prevent the buildup and use Ultima's Paint Guard Plus (Wipe on Walk Away) and Pinnacle's Signature Series II (Wipe on Wipe Off) as a topper.

I don't know of any other products that go on or come off as easy as these two. They do cost a bit more up front, but they absolutely last. I typically wash every two weeks and use the UPGP/SSII combo every 4 months. It'll take me a good two years or more to finish each product..

Rejex and DP Poli-coat are rather durable especially with weekly washing.

The Aqua Wax is excellent. I use it every wash, which can sometimes be twice a week. Using a sealant and then topping it with a nice wax and then using the AW as a booster each wash and you will be fine. You should not need to apply any quality sealant or wax every wash.

Duragloss #105 Total Performance Polish - $11 + Duragloss #601 Polish Bonding Agent - $9 to seal the paint. I have 1 coat of 601/105 combo on our Regal and the car has been through multiple (almost weekly) touch less car washes, exposed to road salt, and hand washed, and the car still beads and sheets water very good. I just used DG Aqua Wax today for the first time since November, even though it didn't need it.

:dunno:

UPGP, first time you use it, apply 3 coats 12hrs apart, then refresh every 6 months with another coat.

Since I work 150 miles away from home and can't be here all the time to wash off the road salt, so she takes the car through the touch less or automatic car wash almost weekly. Thankfully we haven't had snow for a couple weeks. Does that help? I'm not feeling well right now so it's hard to tell what I'm typing everywhere. Maybe I should stop.

I was just jerking your chain Richard, sorry you don't feel well! Have you been hanging around with Coreo lately, he dosen't feel well either. I don't know??... maybe you didn't notice it was me messing with you?

BTW: I know where you work...remember :D

I figured you probably didn't realize it was me messing with you:laughing: Haven't seen you around the home 20 base lately...Hope you get feeling beter soon buddy! Maybe if you feel up to it, we could visit for a minute...

take 3000ui of vitamin D every day for 3 days and you will be right as rain... then pop one a day whenever you remember

PP can attest to the power of the D. I've been out washing the car in 0C degree weather all winter and haven't had so much as a sniffle

I have quite a few new products to test once the weather warms up in New England but today I'd have to say Menzerna Power Lock Paint Sealant and Collinite 845 Wax.

Ultima Paint Guard Plus has a strong following so I'm very interested to see how this product performs.
