What's the best method/product to clean the foam pads used with the orbital? Any easy suggestions? Wash by hand? Thanks for any comments:D Yes, I'm a rookie:)

Second Killr's recommendation on the XMT pad cleaner, that stuff is amazing (just used it this morning).

I did a review of it and some other XMT products, search by my screen name.

I didn't have any XMT available so I used some Castrol Super Clean(purple stuff) on it this morning(before the rain), let it soak for a few minutes, sprayed with the hose, worked the pad with my fingers, rinsed again, wrung out, then spun it on 6 for a few seconds......I have to say it worked pretty well:-) Degreaser was too foamy though. I'll have to get me some XMT. Thanks guys for the recommendation.

How about Tide, a brush, White vinegar....and air dry?? just as i do with the M.F."s

oh yeah.....got those already....70%-30% ones, which I hear are the better blend? Someone should post what all the abbreviations are....would be very helpful to us rookies! lol

Asking like you did is the way I learned. I don't know if I am qualified to make a list, maybe someone else will. Welcome to the forum!

thanks:-) I've learned a lot in the past week, just have to get through a tropical storm before I can put my notes to work! Good idea to have a forum!

Are you in FL? A lot of members are in that area. That storm sucks, I guess you guys are used to it by now.

yeah, these storms suck! See attached pic......the line that shows the future track splits my house in half! I live in Citrus County, on the west coast of Fl., exactly where the line comes in! Not exactly the way I wanted to start my 2 week vacation. lol

2 week vacation! Sounds nice. I get a whole 2 day vacation (4 including the weekend) after finals before I have to start school again. Stay dry and safe!

There was a great list posted a while back...i can't find it but maybe someone will tune in......:)

Psshhh, that puss storm, I didn't even get any waves, what's up with that!!??!:D

About cleaning pads, I have some snappy clean packets. Fill a bucket with hot water and snappy clean and let eh pads soak, then massage the pads in another bucket with warm water and Tide Liquid Free, then rinse in clean water. Works perfectly and pads look like new.

Word of advice, if you have any cut's, wear gloves. Snappy Clean stings like a mofo:p

thanks Surfer....you should come up to Citrus County.....I'm sure they'll be a little surf! I hope this is the one and only hit we have this year. Not looking forward to insurance shopping again!!!!!

Ehhhh, too far of a drive and clients are calling me, damn clients:D. I have family in Tampa. Think they said it may reach Cat 1 status, but it's bringing a ton of rain, which is actually a good thing right now b/c of the dryness FL has been having. My families business was in insurance, but, ummm, we sold it, so....can't blame me:D . I think ST Farm is among the only ones still underwriting their own policies, damn near everyone else is brokering out. Especially in my business, people are getting nailed hard on taxes/insurance.

rain is VERY good, but not when I'm on VACATION and lots of new products to detail with though!!!! Bad start:-) lol
