Whats the best way to get dirt and junk outta yr microfiber towels/rags? My rags are gettin dirty. Haha. Anything give great results?

I use the pinnacle micro rejuvenator microfiber detergent concentrate, and or the Micro-restore detergent both from AG. My mf towels look great and feel soft like new.

Micro-Restore. Or WG's stuff. Love 'em both! :awesome:

i will also be trying that microrestore with my next order.

until then, though, I have been soaking all the towel in the washing machine for about a 1/2 hour in a dawn/liquid detergent concoction. they then run through a normal wash cycle with NO softeners or additives. then, depending on my mood, they will either air dry or dry in the dryer on the lowest heat setting.

what i do is i have seperete micro fiber towels just for my paint. polishing drying buffing ect. so they dont really get to dirty .when i wash them i use pinnicl;s rejuvinater. then dry on low heat with 2 dryer balls. they come out nice and fluffy!!!! and my other towels i uses for more dirty jobs like interiors rims bumbers ect.

re: cleaning MicroFibre

Like many other aspects of car care, I have sometimes learned the hard way. Early on I washed some MF towels and there were apparently bits of an old steel wool pad in the dryer. Not a good idea. Took hours to get those scratches out. They only thing that really did it was wrecking my car and getting a new hood but I don't recommend that approach.

This may be a bit compulsive (I suspect I'm amongst friends in that) but now, after washing in the MF detergent and drying on tumble, I check each towel and remove any extraneous material or fibers with jeweler's forceps.
Live and learn.

I think they have said it all. In the washer on cold and gentle with dp pad cleaner, or micro-restore, or wg, or pinnacle . . . they do not always come perfect but they do better than detergent.
You can substitute woolite, but it is not quite as thorough. Skip fabric softener all together - and don't use towels on paint! AHHHHH!!
Everything they all said!

I just washed them normaly with a little stain fighter spray on the really bad ones, Then high effencancy soap, NO Fabric Soffiner, and double rinse 2X spin dry and A cup of white vinager in the rinse cycle

i always inspect all my microfiber towels before they touch my paint...usually pick out a piece of leaf or wood every now and again...its a good habit to have so that one piece of grit doesnt get swirled all over your paint...

Yep - it's so true - check each one as you fold it.
Mine had a string on it once and I put a scratch in my clearcoat with it like an idiot....
still gotta go back and work on that one!

You might also want to do a search, I know this topic has been covered a few times.
