Hello .. so I got someone coming up and they spilled stuff between the seats. Is there a good way to get stuff from between the seats without having to take them out?

I have pretty much everything except a extractor ... got a commercial steamer .. rags .. brushes .. shop vac extensions .. folex .. degreasers .. etc

Thanks

and its a

Code:
volvo s40

Perhaps not best practice but I move the seats as far forward as possible, then place a towel underneath the seats nearest the center console, spray an APC followed by steam. The towel should catch any runoff. I them wipe it the best I can then move seat back as far as possible and repeat the process.

hmm I might have to try that ... something to not have to try and take a seat out .. which I really havent done before and not sure the process on that car

Sooo just to update everyone here ... I did the car today .... it was bad. However what I did was spray the console down with Griots Interior cleaner and wiped up what I could. I then spayed that cleaner between the seats and the console onto the carpet and and wherever else it was down there pretty heavily. I then used the steamer to get the rest off of the console. After the cleaner had a chance to soak into what was on the carpet I used the steamer on full blast and just kinda pointed it at the stuff between the seats as close as I could and pretty much watched it melt off ... and also blow out everywhere making the vacuum job completely undone and even part of the console as well...

But it came out real good. Even though it was tricky to get the steamer in the right angles to get between the seats and then under the seats to get where I couldnt get from above. The before and after was huge. The customer seemed to like it quite a bit and Im glad. Took me longer than expected ... mainly due to my damn 1000 dollar new steamer blowing up and having to spend over an hour on the phone with the guy and me taking it apart to get it working again. annnd I charged half of what I should have on this .. but I wanted to see if I could do it so I guess it was well worth it.

On personal vehicles, I would just pull the seats. It's far easier than most realize to remove them. 4 bolts or nuts in most cases and a few electrical connectors to disconnect on powered and heated seats.

I thought about it .. but I havent pulled out a seat before and when i looked this car up I couldnt find much .. there was one that said there was a hidden bolt for each seat under the console. It just sounded like a big hassle
